True👍Also because the characteristics of the two boxers are practically opposite...Ruiz will look for the short distance, Wilder will try not to let him get close....I'm almost sure he will end up with a KO...Ruiz after beating Joshua will have to demonstrate in this Match that that was not just a coincidence, he has a very powerful punch and is an excellent boxer.... With Fury, Ruiz would have no hopes because of the great technique of the Gypsy King, with Wilder he has more chances but he has to be very careful...

Eddie Hearn is an asshole but unfortunately Deontay “My excuses getting” Wilder is a horrible boxer. If not for the swing for the fences, off balance punch, that might land might not land is all he has, his boxing IQ sucks. I give him credit for trying to learn to actually box before the third bout with Fury but Fury has been fighting his whole life Deontay tried to learn in One year but when that one punch KO plan goes awry and he has to box he got his ass whipped 2.5x times. His first 19 fights were against foes below the top 100 fighters or who dropped below 100 after the loss. He was losing on the cards in both fights against Luis Ortiz hopefully in his time off he learned how to actually box but that’s just my opinion

Yep, and remember that massive follow up shot by Joshua after issuing Ruiz's first ever knockdown--it would have knocked out a horse--and Ruiz completely shook it off. But Wilder is insanely powerful and dangerous.
Wilder can't go the distance difference between fury and ruiz is that ruiz will continue the tempo and combinations of 80 punches per round till 12 rounds Ortiz won't have time to recuperate in that tempo

This is an exciting fight
I've never seen a more vicious left cross punch ever. Andy has the power to flat out rupture the liver, and as you know once the liver is in shock the fight is over, there's No strength to keep Fighting.
He was working the Heavy Bag on his left cross over and over again with more devastation I've ever seen, the impact was incredible.
I actually pity his opponents "seriously".
So how come he's never ever ruptured anyone's liver? I don't pity anyone who fights him, he's an absolute nobody

Initially I was leaning heavily Wilder in this fight. But if Ruiz can find a way to stay in close, and put the pressure on Wilder, I think he might be able to get Wilder out of there early. Such a hard one to call though because Deontay is such a wild card with that right hand. I might have to refresh my original opinion to 50/50. I'm sure it'll be an exciting fight. Interesting to see if Ruiz can keep Wilder on the back foot and on the defensive. This fight will be all about distance control. Wilder is quite good at making space for himself just by using the threat of a big punch. That feint and reaction sets his opponents up. Wondering if Andy will take the bait, or just stay glued to him and pour on the pressure.

Well when you factor in the fact that Ruiz has zero footwork and poor defense, it makes it pretty obvious he can't beat Wilder.

Did Fury have MORE or LESS footwork in #2 where he turned Wilder into a Bambi-legged deer in headlights barely able to drag himself off the matt? That's not how Ruiz fights. Also you can't compare Ruiz to Fury. Fury can rush in because he hides himself behind the longest jab in boxing and then he weighs his body down on his opponent. Ruiz can't do that. Ruiz trying to get inside would look more like a slow version of Ortiz. He'll get knocked out. I guarantee it. Open this comment string and bookmark it. If the fight happens and I'm wrong, come back and say something. I guarantee Ruiz gets knocked out more easily but in a similar way to Ortiz.

He got a draw, and yes he outboxed Wilder (Easy) - But he got floored twice, and expended much more energy dancing around giving Wilder the opportunity to head-hunt more. He even stated himself (Fury) that he had a revelation at the end of that fight that the key to winning was to bully. But he knew he needed to be willing to take a blow coming in, and he did. If Ruiz can do the same, up close, brawling I'd argue Ruiz is better than Fury. Fury is not a natural brawler. He's not a natural power puncher either. He really has to work at it. Ruiz has MUCH faster hands than Fury and can pour on the volume far better. So while Fury has advantages, so does Ruiz. Again, I'm not saying Ruiz will win. It's just I'm not insane enough to pretend I have a crystal ball like you...

Tough one to call which makes this one so exciting to watch. Wilder is always one punch away from winning. Ruiz on the inside could be a game changer if he can let his hands go and catch him as well.
Either way a good match up for the fans.

Andy gets hit to much to last with Wilder. I also think losing weight affected his ability to take a punch as well as he once did. Not a good recipe when facing a big power puncher like Wilder. That being said I’m a much bigger fan of Andy and would love to see him shock the world again.

Andy Ruiz has fought much bigger guys with bigger punches(than his own), and yet unlike his forthcoming opponent he's never been KO'd - so not sure what Factually justifies the claim that "his ability to take a punch has been affected". Behind his calm and composed demeanor is a tough as nails badass dude.
Given his career history I think he stands a great chance in this fight. I'm a big fan of his and will be rooting for him as well.

It’s beyond obvious what Hearn & Aj doing with the wilder situation. Due to AJs & wilder 5 year age difference they’re aging wilder down. They won’t fight wilder until he’s pushing 40 which is soon. They will fight wilder when he’s 6 months away from retirement or 6 months into it & bear wilder at that point too. If they fought him years ago or now it’s a 70/30 fight in favor of wilder & Hearn knows that. Hell bary Hearn said he don’t want the fight years ago but Aj fans just pretend that never happened

I think Ruiz has this. Wilder’s a danger man for sure, but I think Wilder’s gonna get shocked by a flurry of punches and be put down a number of times. He’ll get back up as he’s a worthy champion but I just feel Ruiz will stop him after a couple knock downs. Should say I reckon Ruiz will go down too, but I think he’s gonna pull this out of the bag

I think Ruiz is the underdog. Both Wilder and Ruiz have fought Chris Arreola. Ruiz struggled a bit with Chris and Wilder breezed through Chris. Chris is a tough dude and Wilder was dancing when he was fighting him.

Mike Tyson trained by Rooney/D'Amato and motivated was a very dangerous person, more so than the others. That's just my opinion. I'm far from an expert, just a fan

Deontay has billed himself as someone who is “unbeatable.” Deontay claimed everything from magic to meddling to meds to explain his draw and subsequent loses to Fury. My point is that “if” Deontay loses again, all those excuses will be shelved and his lack of a well rounded skillset will be exposed.

Same as in the first Ortiz fight which went to 11 rounds if I remember correctly.

Ruiz gets in real close he could be brutal for wilder. Great fight though.
The majority of the top guys have better technical skills than deontay, but his power to hit like a freight train helps him. If Ruiz can get inside I can see him winning. It just depends if deontay can take Ruiz’s combinations in an exchange or if Ruiz can take deontays power in an exchange if Ruiz gets tagged.
