Power Series - Finding The Radius & Interval of Convergence - Calculus 2

  • This calculus video tutorial provides a basic introduction into power series. it explains how to find the radius of convergence and the interval of convergence of a power series using the ratio test. If the limit of the ratio test is zero, the power series converges for all x values. If the limit is infinity, the power series converges only when x equals c such that the power series is centered at c. If the limit equals an absolute value expression based on x, the interval of convergence will have a finite range. This video provides a plot of the interval of convergence on a number line so you can see how it relates to the radius of convergence. In addition, you must check the endpoints for the interval of convergence using the original power series expressed in sigma notation. This video contains plenty of examples and practice problems.

Good . You showed that the series expansion of e^x converges for all x . I was searching for that à long time

I'm about to finish my semester. Thank you so much for breaking down calculus 2 in a way that's actually easy to understand. I was struggling in High school calculus until I started watching your videos in the end and just barely passed AP Calc. Going into Calculus 2 I was very uneasy and now I'm here passing with a 92. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making math understandable again. Before I would have to go to tutoring or waste hours studying, and now I just go to this channel whenever I need to learn something chemistry, math, physics, or engineering related.

thank you organic chemistry tutor, i really hope you'll go to heaven. i love you so much, words can express my gratitude for your existence!!!💜💜💜 i always feel like a burden towards my friends who are math geniuses. i feel like i take up alot of their time whenever i ask questions because i am so slow, and can't understand maths easily. but thanks to you, posting these videos voluntarily, it helped me alot. at least i can ask my friends less than usual, and hopefully they'll have more time to focus on their lives & improving themselves without being bothered by me!!
