    While coaching in Japan I was introduced to the Japanese proverb ‘Nana Korobi Ya Oki’; fall seven times, stand up eight! For me it personifies mental resilience.
    I learnt a lot from my Japanese students. Fascinating culture founded on self discipline, dating back to the Samurai times and even before.

    Mental resilience must be one of the most important things in life, people need to understand that mental resilience is not shying away from your true emotions or surpressing your feelings, its tackling those emotions head-on and figuring out how to defeat them and this is especially helpful in pro sports where there will always be that pressure of preforming and living up to expectations.     from experience using the reframing (self talk coin) idea to always try to GROW from a setback has worked really well, I've got an ANCHOR in the form of a mantra and also have been working on training in a game-realistic environment to learn how to always perform UNDER PRESSURE all the time, thank you so much for your videos they help so much!

    what are some game-realistic things i can do for soccer/football?

      A lot of it relies on imagination - for example imagining you're down a goal with a certain amount of time left.
      Or play 1 vs 1 drills as competitively as possible whether you're a defender or attacker.
      Practice your gameday routine on a training day etc
