This speech (lecture or something idk) has the same aspects of a john green book: -starts on care free -has a lot of touching moments -teaches about life -lots of jokes - punches you in the gut-feels at the end
John gives me hope that there is something else out there. For me, for you, all of us. There is some intangible future that we can count upon. A promise of promise if you will. I can not begin to say how much he has shaped me. He has made me believe in the power of people and explore the complex interiors of myself. Thank you John Green
John Green is one of my favorite humans of all time. Any book he recommends I want to read, and the perspective he offers the world helps me to broaden mine.
Just found a new respect for my own father's pain and upbringing. He was also born in Dresden and lived through wartime. He also committed suicide when I was 4.5yrs old. Not sure how to feel about this, the truth denies simplicity.
if john weren't doing what he's doing, i imagine he'd somehow have landed himself in some sort of teaching position. he'd be (and, well, i guess technically is) a great teacher. seriously one of those rare cases of someone super suited to the field for a plethora of reasons
i live in india and i really wish someday i could meet john green someday. he's my favorite author ,everything he recommends on twitter or fb any video, post or anything i watch it.
Oh my God...Seriously, such an amazing talk. I'm not a parent but do want children and I just started crying a bit at the end. I'm so sorry you had to try and deal with that but so happy that she had someone compassionate beside her. You were not awful at that job. You are a very emotional and compassionate person and you cannot be awful at such a job when you have that depth of good inside you.
to think john green could have been in Mumbai and I actually would have a shot at meeting him but he probably would not be the john green I want to meet
I'm so grateful that I'm sharing my time on earth with this person
