- 🔴 Valparaíso is a city, commune and port of Chile, it is the seat of the national congress and capital of the Valparaíso Region and the homonymous province. It is the historical, administrative, institutional and university center of Greater Valparaíso, which forms together with the communes of Viña del Mar, Quilpué, Villa Alemana and Concón. As the capital of the region, it houses the Regional Government of Valparaíso and the Presidential Delegation, as well as being the seat of the Chilean Parliament. It is one of the three most populated Chilean cities in the country.
It has a population close to 300,000 people, and if it includes its Metropolitan Area it reaches 935,602 inhabitants, being the most populated in the region and the third largest city after Greater Santiago and Greater Concepción.
Valparaíso is the headquarters of the Commander-in-Chief of the Chilean Navy and other national State institutions such as the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage, the Undersecretary of Fisheries and Aquaculture, the Customs and Fisheries and Aquaculture. It is one of the busiest ports in Chile and one of the most important in the South Pacific.2
The city is recognized for being a great center of higher education, since some of the most important universities in Chile are established, such as the University of Valparaíso, the Technical University Federico Santa María, the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso and the University of Playa wide.

Partiste desde el Pasaje Quillota, entrada al Cerro Barón. Ahi vivo yo, te fuiste por Eusebio lillo hasta llegar a la Av. Argentina.....bueno de ahi hacia el centro de la ciudad, el casco histórico. El Nombre Originario de Valparaiso es QUINTYL., SALUDOS BUEN VIDEO.

Soy porteño de Nacimiento, por tanto algo conozco de esta ciudad-puerto. Pero la Verdad antes que nada. Valparaíso así como se ve en este video, está convertido en un pueblo moribundo, sucio, calles, avenidas, Construcciones y pistas para vehículos arruinados. Nada que ver con el Valparaíso de antaño, época de oro del puerto, mucho comercio establecido, con todas sus calles limpias y bien pavimentadas, el grafitti no existia, jardines y parques con sus piletas funcionando y siempre limpias. No ha habido progreso, la cultura desaparecio. Hoy es lo mismo tener una ciudad hedionda a orines, los mercados rodeados de basura y mal olor con ambulantes y carteristas ocupando calles y veredas.
