It's been two weeks already since the last cover ! I managed to do this cover in a span of two days, and here is the result. It features the little lullaby sung by children in the DLC Hearts of Stone, and some parts of the main themes.
All in all, there are 4 harp parts, and something like 8 voices + the main voice. Oh, and a whisper...
Speaking of whisper, what can be heard at 2:46 are the last words of Gaunter O'Dimm... The VERY last words (no spoil)
Black and white drawings at the left of the screen are by me.
Enjoy and share ! - Hudba
Completes a full playthrough of the Witcher 3, all DLCs included.
Restarts at somepoint afterwards.
Sees O'Dimm in the pub in White Orchard.
"Fuck that."
The Freddirak and find new things with every new play through, and I've played 8 times, did you know you can see him in the background of key events during the game?
Antilles Gaming It's just great isn't it.
@@AntillesGaming where, also in the main game? (i dont mean HoS)
@@DrRuhe been awhile so can't remember exactly, but just watch closely while playing.
@@AntillesGaming so we all here in 2021
The scariest thing about Gaunter O’Dimm is if he chose to not follow his own rules and killed whoever he pleased whenever, not even Ciri would be able to stop him
No. Nobody can defeat him. He's the devil, the evil. He ever existed and he exist for eternity
Well Gaunter O’Dimm said that ciri is not someone he can be meddled with if you choose to wish to know where ciri is in the ending where olgierd died
@@zoaholic7732 Only for plot needs. They could not make him say where he was in order not to spoiler the main plot being a dlc
Jason Owen no she was only hidden from his gaze on the isle of mist. But he still knew how to save her once garult found her.
He couldn't ignore his own rules. Because he needs evil human souls, he needs to introduce evil into the souls of his victims, he can't just kill everybody
O'Dimm is a perfect antagonist. A classic depiction of the devil; evil incarnate. He does not drag people down to hell, but gives them the means, or tricks them into, damning themselves.
I loved his character.
True, undiluted evil is getting people to ruin themselves, while the devil smiles wryly at the expected outcome.
Made outsmarting the bastard that much sweeter in the end.
Punished Andrexi it's kinda Slavic thing to outsmart the devil. Mr Twardoswki is Polish version of Faust, when signing pact, he added a line that devil can only take his soul in Rome. There was a tavern Twardowski went that was called Rome. Some iteration say, the devil had to do last wish, he had to wash himself in holy water. Other say that Twardowski was praying to Mother of God and devil lost him on the moon. There is one that told the devil to have sex with his wife, but that is rather a joke story.
Remember how he talks about making gingerbread cookies at the wedding? How the most important ingredient is time? Just substitute "cookies" with "people". He tortures them before he takes their souls. He tortures them for a time and it "gives the proper consistency, provides that ideal crunch on the outside, the delicious moistness within"... That is some fucked up shit right here...
You think you outsmarted him? Even if you took all the gifts in his realm (the sword, the gold, etc) and 'won' the bet, do you really think he lost anything important? He'll be doing to others what he did to Olgierd for millennia to come. You saved one poor fool from the Merchant of Mirrors' embrace but don't think for a second you outsmarted him.
one's demise is always one's own making.
he should have been the main antagonist not the wild hunt
by far the best villain I've seen in video games
Tae Kwon Kid I know this comment is old but I don't consider him a villain mainly because he goes after greedy people
@Audiolibros y más vaas is nothing more than a overhyped filler.
@@kingpoker7468 he doesn't go after people, people goes after him, with the exception of Geralt, maybe, because in the begining of the main History Geralt uses his help to find Yenefer, he's a trickster, he atracts people towards him, even if they don't know the risks involved
King Poker he was more of a neutral evil.
@Ultron-5
I see gaunter as being like a fire in the fire place, if you stick your hand in it will burn it, but if you stay out of his way at you’ll be fine
Child in Witcher 3: My Da dosn't like when I talk to strangers!
Also child in Witcher 3: sings with other children about G.O.D.
Geralt: Nice tune.
the moment when you let it play and go have a look at the comments, then go back up and see that the portrait's changed...uggh, creepy
Barbora Holubcová exactly what i thought right now
Man... How?!
@@Bene224 check his portrait at 1:29 then check again after skipping forward few seconds
Unfortunately if you have the note 9 you can see him and the comments
Barbora Holubcová ruined it for others.
Even the music sounds like a clock ticking, always a sense of urgency when dealing with Master Mirror.
A damned good villain.
He isn't a villain though. He only goes after evil people.
@@ngau-nhien Olgierd was the true villian in the DLC. He was a smug, egoistic brigand. To gain financial and social success in life, he offered his own brother for "the love of his life". Gaunter just upright punished his egocentristic egoism. I never trusted Olgierd, so I let Gaunter get his soul.
@Uncle Lucifer Zed Well you can save Olgierd. But you can never really defeat Gaunter.
@Calthrasful
No, there is no “villain”, Olgierd’s actions were a response to him being stripped of his emotions from Gaunter turning his heart to stone. But gaunter only did it cause Olgierd didn’t word his wish correctly, and he only wants his soul cause of the pact. They intentionally made it morally grey, since in the Witcher world things are rarely black and white
@@Calthrasful that's the issue, that is a hugely simplistic way of seeing things, and what the entire game teaches is that there is no "real villain", no real evil, Olgierd was a man who had his heart turned to stone by O'Dimm, and once he gains it back, he immediately feels regret, emptyness, bitterness and is horrified by everything he had done and become, in fact even before that, when Iris is mentioned, he shows his regret, and no really evil person feels that much regret, so he's just being punished for his past actions, not for being evil, cause he pretty much isn't, at least not anymore
O'Dimm on the other hand, I don't see as a Villain either, but rather as a creature I'd rather live without, simply cause I don't like living my ways through fear
But this is only me, but that's the point, I may prefer one, you might prefer another one, but there's no real villain, only a sinner and a punishing force
In fact, this game has no Villains, in Geralt's perspective, including the Wild Hunt, there's only the Individuals you have a beef with, which are them
In fact I think the only real villains are the bandits, and not all
I just had an advert for Call of Duty : World War II. I laughed.
This game cursed me, I cannot enjoy any other game.

Hello the 20th century's Gaunter O'Dimm.
Juliette
Shut up glasses girl
There is a Gaunter O'Dimm in everyone's heart. Our twisted desires, our anger, our gluttony, our greed, selfishness.. waiting for the opportunity to come to the surface and when it does, to ruin our lives and the others by our own hand when it gets the chance...
That's why he is so creepy. Knowing the twisted side of your soul waiting to be exploited.

Out of all the monsters and villains you face in Witcher 3, Gaunter O'Dimm is the only one that legitimately scares me...
This is beautiful, don't get me wrong, but not as creepy as the original. I think, it's because the original has a slower tempo. It's got that distinct oppressive and suspenseful sense.
No problem ! Yes, well the original has a slower tempo, but also amazingly creepy sound design and mixing, AND creepy child voices. And this weird sounding type of violin (almost creaking)...The level of creepiness is unreachable :) I'd love to try that kind of sound design one day, btw. Must be hard, but really interesting to do.
Thanks for your insight !
Love it how Odimm's image changes through the Song! Great job!
The most terrifying character in videogame history. There was a point I asked myself "who the fuck are you?", and at that exactly moment Geralt asks the same question... damn, the response was so chilling. You don't want to know, there's some evil shit in this world that is better to be left alone. And yes, I am talking about any world, ours, fiction or not, etc.. Even if you are not a religious person or not, you will mess up with some wicked shit like this? Like voodoo shit in a random corner, people acting like they are possessed... Oh hell noooo

Ok.
Oh noooes, you launched the apocalypse with this comment...
He was the best villain in the witcher
Coolest antagonist ever.. goosebumps..
Doğru
His smile fair as spring, as towards him he draws you;
His tongue sharp and silvery as he implores you.
Your wishes he grants, as he swears to adore you,
Gold, silver, jewels - he lays riches before you.
Dues need be repaid and he will come for you
All to reclaim, no smile to console you.
He'll snare you in bonds, eyes glowing afire
To gore and torment you till the stars expire!
So cool the first you hear it, just children singing a misterious song, and then he shows up and the theme plays in full glory
When making a contract with the devil, remember that, thought a liar in almost every matter, he always keeps his word.
Although we know very little about the depth and unknownness of a character that attracts us. The character of O'dimm really has a background in a fascinating way.
I thought i was just imagining his face transform as the song goes...
Only villain I've been actually scared of
1:24 aaaaaaaand there we go, my favorite overlooked detail in the entire game, that little 1-5-4-2-3-4-1 (scale degrees) melody, resembling Geralt, I don't know who the guys are but they should be proud of this game's entire soundtrack, it is the most perfect I've heard
Oh wow... it was absolutely beautiful!
Especially that part 2:11 - 2:33 gave me chills ^^
Amazing job
Skipped to 2:11
Got the fuckiest scare of my life
I love this guy
The way his face changes on the left is a nice, albeit creepy as hell, touch lol
I like how in this video he slowly becomes more monstrous. Slowly letting people know just what they made a deal with.
I didn't notice his face slowly changes, great little touch.
One of the coolest and best written villains in fiction.
Witcher 3 really does have an amazing soundtrack! I'm so happy that you continue to cover it! Another beautiful vocal and harp cover!
+KikyoCovers Thanks ! It does have an amazing soundtrack with really different styles, and it's what I like about it. I love it when games are so multi-genres ^^
Amazing job, love the singing and the drawing.
sounds too sweet its much creepier (as it should be) with the kids singing it
To be fair. Anything involving kids makes things to 10 times creepier
Breathtaking work,kudos to the Shinterymi
How do you sing so perfectly? It's almost heavenly. Sometimes it lull's me into a deep and peaceful nap...
5 year old game listening to this still give me chills till today. (22/06/20)
The moment you hear this song, your fate is sealed
Not to alarm anyone but did you know everywhere we went in his dlc he’s was there watching talk about creepy
Very nice cover! I liked it a lot!
Epic, cant stop listening to it,sutch a nice voice :) and the song its my favorite from the witcher :)
Thanks a lot ! :)
If you help cure the Wight in the BaW dlc, when geralt tells Bazzle the story, this song can be heard, Odimm cursed the girl to become a Wight
Antilles Gaming he probably hides somewhere in the background aswell then..i mean he did it the whole game over and over again
That smelly smell he does, I've saw him just about everywhere I went
@@smittywerbenjaggermanjensen69 Don't get me wrong, but I think maybe Gaunter O' Dimm is impersonating as B.B(the majordomo of Geralt). It's just a theory.
Very very nice job!!
And another you song.Damn I literally, obsessed with your voice ..It's like strips of silk. Slow, soft, go deep inside in my mind. Great Job .. now i will your biggest fan.

This cover is epic!
you are great, congratulations.
Damn... i was listening to this when suddenly my screen went black and youtube crashed... -i shit my pants-
Did you all notice that as the video goes on , Gaunter's face takes on a more sinister appearance.
I hope we see gaunter o'dimm again I think about him at least three four times a week that's the impact this game has had on my life
Damn this sounds good!
When you have to meet him at midnight after kill the ofier wizard and if you go to the meeting place when is still sunset a small group of children is singing this lullaby..

Vicky Zulfikar and jewels...if you want them that is(gingerly takes a bite out of apple)ah,where are my manners(wipes mouth, jumps down, does a nice little bow)gaunter o'dimm, also known as master mirror,at your service
2:49 I can't be the only person that really likes this moment
Amazing
Amazing :)
Nice tune...
You are the Bob Ross of singing.
Now, you found your original comment
One of my favorite characters and antagonists, and as a fan of Stephen King I like to think that in fact, Gaunter O'Dimm is one of many Randal Flagg's names and incarnations in a book he is even refered as "Walter O'Dimm"
I know Gaunter is just inspired in Flagg, but the teory isnt that crazy lol
I love this cover, precisely because it's not as creepy as the original version. I never viewed Gaunter as evil, but someone justly punishing bad people, who always thought themselves above the consequences of their actions. It's why he is so cordial towards Geralt, because he knows he has a good soul.
I never really thought about it that way ! It's true that he actually even punished the lady in Blood & Wine because she had been selfish and condescending towards him. He never hurts Shani, for instance. And yeah, never does Geralt any harm until the moment Geralt tries to stop him.
And it makes him even more interesting as a character. He can really be easily upset though... Look at this poor man that got his eye pierced by a spoon because he only talked at the wrong moment haha. Gaunter is frightening because you never know what is considered right and wrong (not necessarily good and bad) from his point of view.
And he is omniscient. In an oppressive Big Brother way. I think it's also something that makes him highly creepy.
That's because he's fair. But that doesn't make him any less evil. He doesn't wait for people to commit the deed then pass judgement - no, he gives them the tools with a smile, and then comes back to get his prize. O'dimm is temptation, preying on people's weakness (pride in the case of the woman in Blood and Wine, desperation in Olgierd's) and manipulates his victims to damn themselves to him - by either instigating them or providing them the means to do it. He -is- Evil, and quite literally a devil.
And sorry for necro-posting but your cover's really nice!
Why was he a dick to Vlodimir? Pride and lust?
louthegiantcookie His real name is literally Evil Incarnate
I wish you could’ve seen an encounter with him and the Crones
G.O.D . The one who has your soul and the one who granted you wishes... :D
I have seen more terrifying antagonists than Gaunter O'Dimm. But I fail to think of any who possess the same kind or level of chilling menace.
His smile is real as he is fair
Very very nice! :) Will be other soundtracks from Witcher? :)
Thanks ! So far I don't have anything planned but if I ever get inspiration, I will :)
even Gaunter O'Dimm himself approve that

thanks :)
Odimm did tell Geralt in another language that he did win but he will be back he just won’t be targeting Geralt anymore
I'm waiting for another Witcher cover :3
+Demasiado Joven Hehe thank you ! I don't have any inspiration left though... Maybe when Blood & Wine DLC is out, I'll fall in love with the main theme and cover it, who knows haha ^^
Blood and wine is out... any chance? I personally love the Main Theme, so much that I have been working on arranging it almost non-stop the past few days
You're in luck :) I'm working on it, the video will be uploaded maybe next week or sooner, with some fanarts of my own (just like this video)... This DLC is just... incredible.
If you ever need a voice for your arrangement I'll gladly participate btw :) Otherwise, I look forward to your version of it ! It sure is an incredible theme. The complete soundtrack is amazing.
***** Thanks! While the arrangement I am currently working on is instrumental, if I need a voice, I'll be sure to ask you!

I swear to fucking god if in a couple years i walk down the street and hear a couple kids singing this i will flip my shit
Banned Angel I know man, creepy stuff
Banned Angel That would be awesome..but fucking creepy man. I'd watch out for Gaunter whereever i go

Mother: "Saesenthessis. We'll call her Saskia for short."
Doc: "Nice. Were you gonna call it Villentretenmerth if your baby was a boy? Maybe Borch for short?"
All hail lord O’Dimm
I believe Gaunter O'Dimm is so powerful, he could destroy everyone on the planet. But if he did that, he would be dooming himself to an eternity of boredom. So he doesn't. He just finds people that he dislikes to have his fun.
Love the cover! Your voice is like of an angel. You should absolutely make a cover of the main theme of Hearts of Stone, even if there isn't much of vocal part in it, i think it would be great.
And oh, just a question, it doesn't have to do with the song or anything. But i am the only one who doesn't see Gaunter O' Dimm as... Evil?
I mean... yeah, the spoon kill was kinda disturbing, but... the whole course of adventure he was very nice with you, and he did help if you wanted to do romance with the Shani, and honestly... what he does is not wrong, at least not completly. It's not his fault if people make such selfish wishes and forget to add something on the wish.
Now, don't get me wrong, i am aware that he made some fucked up shit, but he is not a bad guy in my point of view, not as much as Olgierd at least.
Olgierd... as much as he was an interesting character, i just loathed the guy. He sended you to kill the toad, who was a prince in truth, and nearly loosing our head because he didn't sayed anything. And from there i was pissed off with him, but when you discover that he sacrificed his brother for his own selfish needs... the little trust i had for him was gone.
So, Gaunter O' Dimm is really that bad for punishing Olgierd's crimes? And he was bad before he got his heart of stone, so he doesn't have any deffence for himself. So why should i ever stop Gaunter from taking his soul? It just doesn't make sense in my opinion.
And let's remember that he keeps his word and gives you a wish for doing what you were asked. Without any doublecrossing, heck he even tells you how to behave with Ciri, without asking anything else in return.
So why i should waste such an interesting character and a powerfull ally for a damn sword?
Thanks a lot !
Well, you're not the only one, lots of people discuss this topic and it's highly interesting ! (Iouthegiantcookie's comment for example, just below. You can also watch Super Bunnyhop discussion video on Hearts of Stone. Not only he talks about O'Dimm but also on all the polish folklore references in the DLC and it's super interesting).
Personally I'm still a bit 50/50 when it comes to this character, but I completely understand every points of view concerning O'Dimm.
Especially the fact that he is such an omnicient being that he doesn't consider humanity the same way as human beings do. There is no good or bad for him, just right and wrong. You’re going his way or you don’t, and if you don’t, he is pissed, that’s all, and he puts you out as if you were a mosquito (this is what he does with the guy interrupting him, or with the lady that insulted him in Blood & Wine)
As any jinn (because in a way he has some powers similar to jinns), he grants you wishes but in the way HE sees it, and what is actually maleficent about his way is to be like "oh, you asked for a cake ? But you didn't say that the cake had to be real ! Here is a drawing". He KNOWS and he just plays with it.
When it comes to Olgierd, yes he was already a vilain before summoning O’Dimm, and he actually brought bad karma on himself because of this. Gaunter just played along.
And when it comes to the final choices... It just depends on our one sense of justice and it's definitely the interesting part, as yourself and Super Bunnyhop mentioned. Personally I went for the "defending Olgierd" route for my first walkthrough, because I didn't want to witness murder and from the very beginning Gaunter felt fishy (even if, yeah, in this story he might be the most deserving of trust). Either way I felt uncomfortable. Letting Olgierd be punished and see Gaunter go away in the dark singing his song felt off. Both endings felt conflicting to me, which makes for great conversations like this one.
I perfectly understand the "I feel better with this ending than-" explanation.
Gaunter O'Dimm in my opinion is not GOD as many put in the comunity, if he was, he wouldn't give a flying ass about keeping his word when you let him take Olgierd's Soul/Skull.
I personally believe that he is half-jynn and half-demon, it would make sense in my opinion.
And the "Choose and Ending" part, feeled like when you had to choose between Triss and Yennefer, both of the endings is satisfying by their own way.
Like for me, i loved the so called "Bad Ending", you ask yourself if you should trust him on the fact that he grants your wish for free or not, the possibility that he can be your ally in the future (and he would be a powerfull ally in my opinion, of course he would help for a price or he asks you for help a second time. ((In his own way)) ), the fact that you can see in Geralt's face that neither he knows if he is an enemy or a very.... VERY powerfull ally, the way he walks away, he whistles his own Lullaby and the ending scene when he trowed up Olgierd's skull and then BAM "Hearts of Stone".
So... it's personal which ending you prefer and for that it should NOT be called *Good* or *Bad* ending.
You can never know how your decision will show up in the next Witcher.
Richard Vincze he doesn't double Cross you? I was dead afraid of trusting him so I asked for nothing at all from him lol
Richard Vincze he is evil because the worst evil is the one that disguises himself as good, yes he gives people what they ask for but not to punish them or out of the goodness of his heart it's because he knows their souls are weak and he just gives them the means to damn themselves while he watches and laughs, he only offers wishes to those who are desperate and he is evil for the only thing he cares about is torturing human souls
Gaunter odimm made Geralt really nervous especially after he found out his true colors no one does that he’s not usually not scared of anything
Was it just me or did one of the guys on that Arasaka satellite in the "Devil" ending look familiar???
I like him
Is the musical base yours? I would like to have it :)
'To deceive the deceiver is double the pleasure'
I have three theories about gaunter. Here they are:
1. He is the god of everything but became trapped in the witcher universe because of the conjunction of the spheres and went insane because of it.
2. Not only is he the master of mirrors but he himself is the mirror. He is a reflection of everything and everyone and reacts to people and the world as how they would react to him. Its why he is so cordial and nice to geralt because he is essiantly reflecting geralt back to geralt. Another example of 2 is that if geralt chooses to play gaunter and banish him, gaunter begins to start having features like geralt. Eyes and facial structure all.
3. He is either Hastur or nyarlathotup from the lovecraftian universes stuck in the witcher universe because of the conjunction.
O'dimm was like a godlike enemy..if there isnt no water in that fight,Witcher 3 Geralt wont win..correct me if im wrong
Gaunter O’Dimm - G O D?
Fantastic cover! PS. In comparison to O'Dimm the Wild Hunt are a bunch of care bears.
Song applicable to bankers and credit cards
Beware, beware
beware of him
beware master mirror
Gaunter O'Dimm
Theory, gaunter O' dimm isnt a devil or demon or god, the reason people go mad or die after they find out who he is because he is the game developer, and the univerde is a game, look, everything we know he did allowed us to play, if he didnt exists, we would have both DLC and the start if the main gane wouldve been more detious
Well, he is the evil counterpart of Mirror of Eirsed alright.
aaaaahhh
so - whose wishes here shall i grant?
"Ive beat you. Now get lost !"
Anyone notice his eyes change after 1:20 ?
is there a itunes version?
No, I'm not on Itunes at the moment :')
so where can I buy this Its not on bandcamp
It's super nice of you, thanks a lot for asking this and wanting to support. Since it's a cover and not an original song though, I didn't want to sell it on any plateform because of copyrights, you know. You can therefore download it with any mp3 youtube converter website if you want ! (I don't have a high quality version of this song anymore)
He should enter dead By daylight. The only Killer who is there for fun and the only Killer who can escape the entitus
Very nice voice, youtube only counts my views i guess :)
I think he'sn't the Best villian, but he is so good in his job to be an anti-hero. Cause the best is between to Vaas Montenegro or Frank Temmpeny
