    Another informative video👍 Great job as always! Few questions...when finish filing, were you using the 180 side or 240 side of the file (or maybe I wasn’t seeing it correctly). And was the sanding band a fine or medium grit? Last question: when curing one nail at a time, was it just a flash cure or full cure, and if it was a full cure, when you get to the last nail, would the other nails that were cured on the hand be overcured (hope that makes sense).

So the base coat in your overlay video was not the same as the one you used here because the previous one wasn't good for the client? I wonder why they didn't like it? I can only invest in like ONE base coat and ONE overlay gel, which one do you recommend? I am not sure what soak off means VS hard gel? Does it mean that Soak Off you can eventually take off with acetone vs Hard gel can be only taken off by sanding?
    I love your videos!

    Hi Liz 😊 Thank you sooo much for this video! I was just wondering if a P+ base would be still as duarable on a natural overlay with hard gel colour/glitter as using a hard gel base? I bought a madenia e file from Amazon which is brilliant for ÂŁ35. Long hair pretty nails has a video on it. The 2 in 1 dust collectors are good too, has the tube you can take off. Makartt collectors are also good. July don't get one with the bags underneath they don't work too well.

      Yes the Zephyros is an awesome dust collector. And we will be adding more unrestricted e-files soon.

    Using the overlay method, how often do you suggest soaking the overlay off and applying a fresh set. Once every several weeks, months, after a certain number of fills?

    • @TheNailHub
      @TheNailHub  Pƙed 5 lety +3

      Usually you never need to because if you keep the length relatively the same over a 6-8 week period you are constantly filing off old product and replacing with new. Theres really never a need to remove everything unless theres a major problem.

      @@TheNailHub great to know. Thank you for getting back to me. I've always been concerned that there was a need to completely remove product. I guess from the old saying of letting your nail "breathe" but I've read that isn't necessary because nails get their oxygen from blood not air. Thanks for confirming.

    Great video-as always. Please start putting the color on your own nails in the description! I kept getting distracted by the beautiful color on your right hand.

      Normally about 10-15 secs or in this case as long as it takes me to do one nail before I switch which is usually 15-20 when I'm working off camera.

      Dr.4c soak-off gel is less resilient and can get worn off if the client is hard on their hands.

    I have a question, I hope it’s ok to ask it here. I have a gel polish that is kind of thick, is there a way to thin it out? I know with nail polish you can use a polish thinner, is there a similar product for gels?

      You could try adding clear gel top coat? They it on a little so you don't waste the full bottle.

      You can add thinners. But once you do that it will change the consistency and it will also dry out again even more than before. Is it old?
