Hey guys, welcome to the third episode of What Was Cut. Today I'm showing all the unused content found in The Simpsons Game, this covers all main releases [ PS2/Wii ] [ PS3/Xbox360 ]. I ran into editing issues otherwise this episode would have been out a day or two sooner but for some random reason my software would reach a certain percentage then it would just crash. My capture card was acting up too you can probably see the random flashes of black in the video, I'm so sorry for that. Very weird this happened though, anyway I hope you all enjoyed and I'll see you in the next one!

The 3D cutscenes weren't exactly unused. They were used in the DS version in place of the 2D-animated cutscenes.

Brockman’s placeholder voice almost sounds like Maurice LaMarche’s Orson Welles impression
Very interested in the effort put into the temporary voice acting, possibly just the game staff not being able to resist going all in with the characters. Also the Homer placeholders sound like different people which is a bit fun

Very true, I will most likely do it, just to finish off The Simpsons episodes. I'm not sure if it's going to be the next episode though.
I Love that Bootleg Homer voice, reminds me of Compressed Mr. Krabs from BFBB

Yeah, I'll most likely do a Simpsons Skateboarding episode just to finish off "The Simpsons" episodes. I see a few people asking for Tapped Out as well.
Would a video on The Simpsons: Tapped Out be a good idea? The game upgrades a lot, but there are a few unused things. Gil was meant to be playable, and characters like Madame Wu and the Nahasapeemapetilon have dialogue icons despite never being playable.

That wasn't Patty or Selma on the can, it's Barney wearing a wig. Still kind of a weird choice though. The 'Mission Accomplished' texture is likely a reference to the time when George W. Bush unveiled a massive banner with the same design on a warship in reference to the Iraq war.
The temporary Bart actor sounds pretty good

I'm loving these episodes! it's great re-visiting these games and learning new things about them
I always thought it was funny how while the console game was a 3D game with 2D cutscenes, the DS game was the inverse, being a 2D game with 3D cutscenes. The cutscenes were also slightly longer and featured lines cut from the console cutscenes.
Little did I know, this was all probably because the DS game uses versions of the cutscenes from earlier in development, before they decided to replace them with 2D ones.
9:27 Also, the voices of Homer and Kent Brockman in this unfinished Lard Lad cutscene was definitely Maurice Lamarche.
Marge had the weirdest cut lines.

The 3D Cutscenes were used in the DS Version, these unused versions were might have used as a base to render them into low res video

This is the only (as far as i know) looks into uncut content from this game.
It would be nice to see this game get modding support to make it an ever better experience. Though it probably would've already got it, had it been released on PC, I suppose.
I guess the Off-Ramp Inn was removed since the joke didn't really make sense in context of the game; since they hadn't put it on an off-ramp as it was on the show. Not sure though lol

I grew up playing Hit and Run and Road Rage, but never picked up this game. Is the PS2/PS3 version recommended?
the ps2 and psp versions have the least amount of content with both completely excluding the Japan level.
I enjoyed this game as a kid.. food levels always made me hungry.
Personally I think that between the three games, this one is the worst of them, but it is not awful. If you want to play it, keep in mind that the ps2/wii version has some cut content compared to the ps3. There is also a DS version which as far as I know is a completely different game using the same title
@@_CNT_ Ahh okay. I remember the commercials said it was coming to "every system in existence" or something which was just an exaggeration but I figured PS3/360 versions were probably best

Not a simpsons game, but maybe given your brand of interests, what about other licenses games like the jimmy neutron games, fairly odd parent games, or even since you mentioned it, the incredibles games.
You're giving me paranoia about the Planet Springfield thing.
Cause the wiki lists both but only shows an image of Hype, while Google shows an image of Springfield.

Edit: A friend has told me that it actually was renamed to Planet Springfield in all (read: 2) subsequent appearances in the show.
