Oh my time really flies, I was involved with the rabbit base station signage installation and you could see it wasn’t going to catch on but we didn’t see what was about to happen with the advent of the mobile!

This brings back memories I was 8 years old and stopping at my grandparents house and they taped it for me and I watched it constantly!

Roger Rabbit was up against Brucie's Generation Game and Casualty on the other side, so this Disney meets Warner Brothers film had some competition. 2:22 I remember recording this transmission of Roger Rabbit, (and I lived in the Central region as well, and I remember all the adverts), Very ironic that the Weetabix Bugs Bunny one was one of them - as the film contained the same aforementioned rabbit, I hope that the ITC didn't mind. And also the Cadbury's Caramel advert is "rabbit" themed with the female version voiced by Miriam Margoyles as well at 0:01, ironically. 10:37 It was also ironic that we had an advert for "Rabbit" phones on here, considering the nature of the Roger Rabbit film... Central had shown the Carry on Teacher film earlier on that day in the afternoon, I remember. 1:42 Breathtaking Ford Escort advert as I thought back then. Still looks great. 4:28 Amstrad video recorders - what Alan Sugar was mostly famous for, years before the Apprentice. Advert reminds me of that Denis Healey "Silly Billy Records" advert from over a year later. 4:57 Kellogg's Nut Feast probably disappeared from supermarket shelves as soon as January 1993 came around - bloody annoying woman in the advert. 5:28 A BT advert, which is ironic considering that human Roger Rabbit star Bob Hoskins was just a couple of years away from starring in a series of them himself. 6:30 I am surprised that Delia Smith would have anything to do with the Mail on Sunday, but never mind. 7:30 Harry Enfield with his Grayson and Mr Cholmondley Warner for Mercury Communications. 8:10 Wasn't the Boots Christmas catalogue great to look at back then, compared to the Christmas editions of recent years? I bet that it wasn't available as early as mid October in Boots stores as it was in later years. 10:42 Boots used to own Children's World, I seem to remember - I remember that advert being annoying because of the rhyming.

Oh, my word! I had this exact recording of Who Framed Roger Rabbit growing up, I used to watch it religiously so I remember the adverts vividly. What a great find, its bringing back many memories! I'm from London so it would have been the LWT region, albeit with a few differences. If I recall the video recording lasted a lot longer and recorded for an extra six hours which including footage from ITV Nighttime. The videotape is long gone now, but I do wonder, is there any chance you also have continuity footage of programmes later that day?
