    Thanks for taking us. Retiring next year and plan to go to Yorkshire just to fish my beloved Spiders in the water they came from.

    I’m curious how you see the fly when fishing spiders upstream? Do you use a sighter or indicator?

      There is no need for an indicator. As the flies are fished in a very short drift I can track them visually. During the drift the rod is lifted to keep in contact with the flies.

    How far are your flies being cast upstream?

      Depending on the stream conditions, including leader roughly 10 to 15ft.
