I installed a h-pipe on my 15 GT two years ago. I've been wanting a higher flowing muffler setup for quite sometime. I noticed the C&L sport axle back on AM. I found this video, and after hearing it, I was sold gentlemen. It sounds great, at idle it's just a deep rumble, and at cruising speed it's pretty quiet. But when getting on the throttle it is pleasingly LOUD!
Andy's Mustang sounds incredible. If you are going this route you will not be disappointed. There is another Mustang around here with long tube headers and think the C&L sounds way better. The C&L has a deeper tone and way less raspy.

Americanmuscle.com has a couple complete exhaust systems that have a x-pipe in it but not seeing a stand alone x-pipe

H pipes are TuFF luv the Muscle Car Roar of these Mustangs ..Iv had my H pipe for 2 years the sound the crackle n pops never gets Old.
Agreed the h-pipe made a huge difference in the sound of the Mustang.
It honestly sounds pretty tame on normal mode and sport but put it in track mode with the windows down and my ears start ringing 😂
Question fellas, in the video you mention drone, would this set up after break in be unbearable for long drives? I throw down some miles on my 23' and want a heathly deep sound but don't want the headache!?
There definitely was some drone with this setup but I don't remember it being unbearable. The car does sound really good as it drives by. For the money you really can't beat it. Hopefully this helps.

What muffler are you running? I am putting the H-pipe on my new Roush stage 3, but I also want to add some volume. I know you say this doesn’t make it any louder….
Andy is running the C&L sport Axle back. We added the muffler first and it definitely made a difference in volume from stock.

This was both the Axle Back and h-pipe installed. Both were C&L

No the Mustang is not tuned. That was just the result of changing the exhaust setup

This sounds like exactly what I want in sound for my daily driver Mustang... On the scale of 1 to 10, how bad is the drone really? If it's a little drone, I can manage, but if it's so bad it's unbearable, then I'll be finding another solution.
I would say about a 5. It drones but I have had a lot worse
Does removing the resonator impact emissions inspection? I live in Georgia.
You could always call a local shop that does inspections and ask. In STL it all depends in the shop you take it to. Legally it probably needs to be there. Usually it's pretty easy to find a guy that will hook it up. You could also go to a cars and coffee or any meet up and ask people where they get theirs done and go there.
I’m in Georgia too. Removing the resonator does not affect emissions since resonators have nothing to do with emissions testing. Only a cat delete or possibly aftermarket cats would give you an issue passing emissions.
In Missouri the resonator is part of the safety inspection. They are supposed the visually verify that the resonator is in place. Here for the emissions test all they do is hook up a computer up to the obd2 port. Usually as long as you don't have a check engine light your good. Like always it's good to know a guy or shop that likes sports cars that also do inspections.
@@DrivewayDreams Oh wow! All this time I’ve been thinking Georgia was too strict! I guess I know where I won’t be moving. 😂 Seems pretty asinine to lump the resonator in to any kind of inspection.
@demetriawright1528 these inspections are only in St. Louis and surrounding counties and Kansas City and surrounding counties. The rest of the state can do whatever they want. Makes since right.

i did this and was expecting it to be kind of tame not really though it’s stupid loud camera will never do this justice
H pipe is so much better
It definitely transformed his car. There is another guy down the street from us that has long tube headers and it sounds really raspy. The h-pipe is definitely the way to go.
@@DrivewayDreams I had longtubes with the x pipe and it was incredibly raspy… I’m glad I switched to the h pipe
Now as for x-pipes are concerned the on my Lamborghini sounds amazing. 👏
@@DrivewayDreams I feel like the coyote motor in it’s own right is pretty raspy to begin with.. I’ve always enjoyed and preferred a deeper tone

@@Mustangelleanor1968 Gday mate, fellow oz here. I installed a MISHIMOTO 'H' pipe on my 18 pony after doing many sound comparisons. In my opinion she sounds GREAT. If you haven't done your install yet look into this brand. Cheers Mate. Vic
