It's pretty similar back then when we swap Centity template appearance names using Wolvenkit, but this has 3d renders. My favorite w2ent to edit is shop_47_city_prostitute_girl_1😉
Only works for main and side characters that have premade outfits. If you want to change a side quest character that doesn't have their own character entity but uses one with a half dozen background characters, first you have to find the entity, such as we want to change Jotta the Freya priestess. She is here: characters pc_entities\crowd_npc\freyi_priestess\ in the freyi_priestess. w2ent. You open that and go to the Appearances tab. Select her from the list and in the right side is everything she wears, her head, hair, and visible body parts. Select the ones you don't want and delete them using the x symbol button on the right.. Now in the asset browser you search for the parts you want to replace them with, select them in the browser and click the + button above the X you used earlier. Once you are done save the entity. Cook the mod, install, and test in the game? Nope though you have changed Jotta the game will ignore that change. Now you have to find her in the quests or anywhere else CDR has chosen to place entities she might be in(not hunting it up), once you find her there right click the entity and select checkout, no changes or anything else. Now you can cook and install the mod. Jotta will be a dude or whatever you did to her in the game. This is the method that's needed to de done for all NPC's that do not have a custom outfit... what 99% of the NPC's? And it works with all NPC's.
@@DeathClawDC Go to Nexus mods and download the current top mod on the front page. You can make Geralt into anyone while playing the game. Or if you have 1.32 use Geralt Doppler.
@@JETWTF i did But it's only not what i am looking for Although that mod is top tier and mod of the year for me I am trying to make a mod which will 100 replace geralt in all of the 100 of the gamw
@@DeathClawDC Well the method in this video is a start, replace all of Geralt's assets and the game won't have anything Geralt to load. The fun part is finding them all... fun being sarcasm. I would go a step deeper though and replace the model itself as well as include the model entity, character entities, and everything else related to Geralt's character model even if unchanged. Like changing a side character that is in an entity with a dozen other characters you need the quest or gameplay entity specific to them even unchanged.
After creating an entity, I've been having the problem of naming them, so their names show up above their head ingame. Do you know where NPC names are located and can be changed?

Can you please make a video on how to change the torso of Priscilla oder Jotta? I tried it and it won't work. I checked out all the entity files of them. I can't delete parts of their appearances and replace them. II created a new appearance in the entity, but the game ignores that. I saw in the comments that other people also have problems with npc who do not have individual entity files and meshes like the main characters. It would be so great if you could show how to change a part of an npc (like proscillas torso) that is not a unique part to that npc.

Hi, this type of modding is limited and things like this can happen, watch my other REDkit videos where I edit the mesh file in blender That way you can fix it and make it more to your liking.
It's possible but a hell of work, a well as multiple language integration, a decent Quest fulfilling player's quality expectations, needs to be split among a group of people. One will break under the sheer workload coming with it. Most enthusiasts have a job, first things first, and only spare time for a Job by heart.

it's hard men (i tried and did made something but it was stupid) you need to know everything about it then try to make a mission. like how to make enemy attack you in areas, how to build new map, how to create daiologs and many more.
Redkit is out for just 2 Month or so. Considering its complexity, I would not expect any decent and entertaining Quest within the next half year or so. There are some unsolved questions like trigger Dialog on prompt (Yellow sentence line). Creating way points are easy but only on existing maps/ world. Creating a new world with fast travel points is not really possible, as you can not create an interactive map (yet) for a custom-made world, popping up to select your destination. The question of implementing Hightmaps isn't solved satisfyingly yet, I spend hours just to find out only a 16 bit hightmap can be used in the stamp-brush. I have concept for a very nice and suspenseful storyline, 400 lines of dialog ready, but believe me this editor isn't completely ready for bigger quest out of the known, preset world. At least, I am not completely ready for the complexity of this Editor. As Last_Ghost mentioned, there is a steep learning curve ahead to master this tool.

Maybe you're changing the wrong entity? Is there another existing entity file for that character?

In the mesh editor, there is a material section where you can select the material you want and change its texture

yes (but the process to change its voice and animations with ciri is little hard for a beginner)
How to change NPC's height? Which file or part is for height?

You need the original files for that mod (you can't export them from a mod file), you have to ask the modder to send you those files.

You don’t have to edit the textures. Some can be changed in the color tab of the outfit entity
