I mean I agree but stopping PC patches after 4.04 was pretty bad. The game is in a very poor state

It is so exciting to see the modder of Farewell of the White Wolf recruited by CDPR as a Quest Designer. It is a well written fan-made series of quests, incorporating all Witcher games trilogy as well as characters from the books. Congratulations!

Patch the game there are still stutters and massive fps drops in cities and also flickering shadows in Toussaint.

Hearing the stories of their gamedev careers starting with what they had available at the time, and where it led them is so interesting... REDkit being a full blown engine, combined with all of Witcher 3 assets i'm sure will enable many new talented gamedevs!

CD Projekt is done with their inhouse engine, and moving onto UE. It could be coming sooner than we think (here's hoping)

Whilst I'm absolutely useless with any modding, the RedKit makes me really want to explore it and just mess around in game.
Best way to learn is doing exactly that!
I remember I was active on the forums and saw the modding contest and that a modder won the contest. Shortly afterwards he was hired by CD projekt Red. I guess that was Aerondight.
I also started as a modder and was one of the few who translated The Witcher 1 to Portuguese back then, since it was not available in that language and I really wanted my people to play that game. :)

I actually want to try doing an expension which i wrote an entire script. I have no experience in modding although im a developer so I just hope i'll be able to share all this stuff and make people enjoy it at some point ^^

About the port, well, the "port" is not the word I would use :D As it would be undoubtedly incredible, because TW3 is much more gamer-friendly installment, it would unfortunately mean doing nearly everything from scratch, including rewriting scenario to match TW3's capabilities. The exploration is different, so levels would had to be reworked. Scenes would have to be made and directed from scratch, also by using some new stuff TW3 offers. Some things are made using TW2 stuff that no longer is present in TW3, so this too would have to be taken care of. A couple years of additional work :D Not possible.
But! I can promise you the Enhanced Edition we are making will have not only Polish voiceover and new content, but it will look much, much better than the previous version. I hope you will like what we are cooking for you ;)
@@thewitcherfarewellofthewhi864 Mate, "Farewell of the white wolf" made me emotional and was THE ending i think Geralt (and the players) deserved. The writing, the cutscenes, it was all above my expectations!

I wonder how long it’ll take until someone reworks the Reason of State questline
For example, I decided to send Dijkstra to the Land of Fairy Tales... First of all, I need to open the Toussaint location in the editor? It is so? But for some reason, my list of locations includes Novigrad, Skellige, Vizima, etc. But Toussaint is not there, unfortunately.
You habe to go to the DLC folder and find "bob". There you will find Toussaint!
@@Benzenzimmern Thank you. Can you be a little more precise? For example, I clicked the "world" button on the left. Nothing happens. Then I click the “open” icon at the top, after a while something like an explorer opens. But there is a lot in it...
