I've listened to several versions of (gonna fly now), and I think that there should be that "Maynard Ferguson style of trumpet " in these other versions of the song with a slightly slower pace than this Prague film orchestra!
"Slightly slower pace"....lol the original is way slower. This version is bullshit.

Why all orchestras play this way to fast?
Not sure if the two women in the woodwind section are lovers or not, but their enthusiasm was contagious. They were obviously having fun. As long as they're not wacked-out feminists making fun of Rocky, it's OK. :O))

recording sounds weird, also didnt like the arrangement. Certain important tensions and dissonance from the original are completely missing.
..there are 3 or 4 versions with Ferguson on trumpet in a mash up with Bill Conti, made for the first Rocky movie...the smooth versions and like this upload, a disco uptempo version
@@shady7969 i think you are missing my point. There are important colors in the chords that are completely missing from this version. Not talking about the disco style i have no issue with that. There are colors that make up the fabric of the piece that just arent there.

Yes, you have. I've seen the performances and was blown away by how great they played and how (in time) everyone was. I was impressed enough to look up and read about this Orchestra. And I rarely do that. That's why when I had seen this I was thinking "This isn't the same group of people I had recently seen". But That explains it....Thanks
BadRonald1 Thanks. We are constantly "evolving". Many people left, some of them return as time pass by. Nowadays our orchestra is much more experienced. We do our best to bring level up. I guess it can be seen on repertoire we play that is much more difficult than it used to be. thanks for your comment :)

Holy Christ, what a horrid arrangement.
That's one that is sold at Hal Leonard. We personally like it. Achieving Conti's original score is barely possible. :)
Yet another orchestra who ruins this. Ugh....why rush it? Way too fast makes it sound cheap AF. Down vote.
Kick the drummer....not well done. Too far from the original drumming.
