Shopify is the ultimate platform for running an ecommerce business. Shopify offers a great online store and full-featured Point Of Sale (POS) retail system. You can use Shopify POS to sell your products in retail stores, popups, flea markets and other locations. How does one go about adding a Currency Converter to the POS app? We move between countries and we want to have the local currency show in our SHOPIFY POS app. We have a currency converter currently running in our online store, but it does not translate to the SHOPIFY POS app. Is there an app that you can recommend for the SHOPIFY POS app?
The Shopify POS will use the currency of your store. You can't have multiple active currencies. Simply switch your Shopify store to the currency you want for your POS.
Can I use POS for Renting out stuff as well? Thanks in advance.
Sure, it all depends on how you configure your products in Shopify.
We are in MD BUT we do craftshows in VA and NY … so do I have to add market address each time I go to different craftshows ? Meaning will chance states as well
Technically you don't have to, however if you want more accurate reporting and analytics, you should create new "Locations" for each craft show location. That way you can better track sales from each region.

@@nataliastoev3784 It will all depend on where you have nexus. You may still be required to collect and pay tax in NY depending on how much you sell (i.e. economic nexus) in that state. You should consult your tax professional.

How can I use barcode for inventory tracking in POS
You can connect a barcode scanner to the POS and lookup any product in your Shopify Admin (assuming you've added the barcode on the product.) As you sell items from the POS, Shopify will track the inventory and perform the adjustments. Make sure you have inventory tracking enabled for those products in the Admin.
Can I use POS for only a physical store
You can use the POS anywhere you have an internet connection. We have clients using it at pop-up shops, flea markets and food trucks. The compact POS Go is a nice compact device to use anywhere.

Can I connect a wired scanner to shopify pos?
There are some Android tablets that support USB and that will support a wired scanner. For iPad you could try a lightning-to-USB adapter and treat it as a keyboard input. Wireless is certainly the better option.
Some professional is wanting me to add their shopify to my staff, is it safe ?.. they will help me add products itseems, shall I proceed or not ?
You can provide Collaborator access to a third-party and then control the access that is granted. This is the correct and safe way to accomplish this. Then you can always revoke the Collaborator whenever you need. This is better than using a Staff account. You should still always be cautious to whom you grant access to your store.

If my location is in Africa how do i configure the point of sale?
When you first configure your Shopify Admin, you can select your country and currency, This will apply to your POS stores as well.
what is point of sale
"point of sale" refers to the place (or "point") where you are conducting your sales. This could be a retail store, farmers market, pop-up shop or anywhere. A point of sale device lets you capture those sales at that point/location. Hence, "point of sale." Hope that helps.
