@@GraceWillow i am! I think for me it was your way of simple techniques like using handmade paper templates and not getting stuck on small details to be perfect. Really helped me to see that everything will fit together in the end! :)

I really like the design!
Durability really is a vital aspect of LARP gear.
Compared to cosplay gear which is usually handled with care and is often optimized for looks, LARP stuff has to withstand quite a beating.
The standard rule usually is: Would it survive if I throw myself to the ground and land on it? (or can I at least prevent landing on it somehow)
That's some dedication! I barely have the patience to draw wings, let alone make a snake skin bag.
Don’t get down on yourself! Wings are hard fo draw!! Also it took me forever to get to a point where I could make a bag 😅

Just a note to fellow LARPers. Wire core used in this way might not be permissable (especially not in the UK) beyond a visual prop (sometimes, not even then), same with use of worbla, though props like the mouse i imagine wouldn't be a problem. Talk to your LARP to confirm what is and isn't accepted, so you can keep up this positive, constructive energy and look just amazing like Zonbi. :D

i acctually play a snake larp character as well. We used similair techniques (burning scales into foam) but took it in completely different directions. Excited to see the finished result. Also looking forward to see how you solved some of the challenges I faced or if you even run into the same problems

How durable are the weapons for larping?
They're durable but they aren't super hard (like other larp weapons I've seen) I'm going to be doing some experimenting in the future so my accessories can be better!

I'm a sewer, I'd love to get into prop making more, and armor making as well! (I've had two horribly failed attempts at a Gordon freeman cosplay using foam already, but I think I had the wrong foam and glue.)

@@GraceWillow Xmm real leather is your new best friend here.Thin leather can be easily shaped with a good scissor and some stiches.Scout a bit for low prices , you dont need anything expensive for making general/decorating things , unless you plan for a "masterwork" item or sturdy bags .you can also paint it in many colors ,even silver :P .You could always fascion items out off any material you like in larp, like foam or worbla (a costume).costumes are great for
"Grande magic" users. The trick here is to avoid getting into fights .Even if you do when someone gets at close range then just surrender by lifting your hand up saying you lost/died so that you wont be hitted
