Had the gen 1 for a few years and picked up the gen 2 a few months back. Much larger than the 24" gen 1 machine. Waiting on snow to give it a good workout. IMO the plastic handles are a plus. Metal stays cold and wet gloves freeze to them. That nylon is basically indestructible. Good luck with yours! Keep us updated.

Okay, finally, it snowed down here in Ottawa to finally use my 24-inch 2 stage.
I cleared about 4 inches of snow from my driveway, which can hold 4 cars, 2 side by side. Plus the side of the house leading to my shed where I store tbe machine. It took a little getting used to this new machine, but it was easy as pie....when dealing with the foot of snow, the snow plow left in the front of the driveway.. I used the lowest power possible for the auger and used a medium power for the drive wheels.
I did bump up the power to max to clear the hard snow the plow left....no problem.
After 45 mins, I used 1/ 4 of my batteries....which is a good sing. Apparently, we are getting a bigger dump next week.....Bring it on.

Very curious about comparisons to the Snow Joe. I have a very similar 24 inch 2 stage snow Joe and - I’m ready for an upgrade. Looking forward to part 2 😀👍

I have to admit that those dangling cables for the turn assist bother me, and I'd be wondering if there's a way they can be pulled up tighter to the vertical support arms though the use of some zip ties or the like. I did see a review by another guy (some EV dude), and he managed to break one of his handles in the second use of the machine. Seems like that would take some effort to do, and I've watched a few reviews of this machine and his is the only one that indicated that they'd managed to break a handle (his was the right hand handle that controls the impeller). Looks like a great machine, and certainly those tandem 56V batteries are going to give it a lot of power.

you can zip tie them. i prefer Toros auto steer system without the need for brakes for steering. maybe ego will comeout with that at some point. its got a warranty so if it doest break i dont see why ego wouldnt cover it

Does the 12amp battery fit in the 24'? That would be greatly improve my range.

@@randomrazrthats not true. The 12 ah batteries do have a larger footprint. But they should still fit in/on any of their tools.
