- In this India Travel Vlog, we visit Jodhpur, the Blue City, and take in all that Jodhpur, Rajasthan has to offer via a 60 cent Rickshaw in Indias Blue City.
This amazing blue city is a major tourist destination in India, about 6 hours from Jaipur, you can reach via Train in India, car, or fly at the new Jodhpur Airport.
We eat a 20c Samosa, see the Jodhpur Clock Tower, bargain for goods in the Clock Tower Market, and see the view of the Blue City at Sunset from the Mehrangarh Fort.

A couple notes bout those street dogs:
They are called Indian Pariah dogs. It is an ancient breed that has been around South Asian cities for at least 4,500 years. They are a wild breed that has over thousands of years adapted to Indian climates and has settled in and around human settlements all over the sub-continent.
These dogs with their wedge shaped heads and curled up tails are as distinct a breed of dogs as the dingoes. They are as wild as the birds and insects and tigers and mice. They belong to no one. They never have.
Although it is not unusual for neighborhood people and neighborhood pariah dogs to establish relationships. These dogs make for very good guard dogs and become territorial about the neighborhood and protect the homes. The people in return leave out food and water for the dogs. Sometimes even vet care.
These wild dogs have automatically bred out most genetic maladies and illnesses and have a strong immune system, so they have very few health concerns. Most of their deaths are unfortunately due to traffic accidents.
But please don't pity them. They have their own wild nobility. They are the origin of the domesticated dogs. These are the wolves who figured out that human garbage piles were a good source for carcasses after successful human hunts or slaughter and contained plenty of mice and rats in between, and so worth sticking around.

Actually the answer they couldn't see the process of animal slaughter in their countries...They are advanced and they get the chicken in wrapped and frozen form...
And btw even their way of killing has rules imposed by the government...They kill them by stunning(instantly the brain stops)so they don't feel pain...(MOSTLY if the process works well according to plan)
So they are not used to it...I mean they don't see animal condition this bad...
Plus they couldn't imagine this condition to a pet animal becuz pet animals are always in someone's house there...And yes obviously they don't have any street dogs...They are all pets and everyone gets food...So they are well taken care off...
So they get hurt seeing the condition of these dogs in India...

You are not wrong in a way but this is not the right time to say that and not to a person from a developed country as they don't see animal conditions and even if they know, they know that the animals are died instantly as their govt care for the poor animals until it dies...Plus they haven't seen the animal get killed or suffer as the slaughter houses are in the rural areas...And they get packed raw meat...
If u said those to an non vegetarian Indian person I wouldn't got much problem obviously i would have said u something that don't make fun of him/her ,but i couldn't say much to you as I did here becuz here everyone sees the conditions of the chickens/goats/pigs and all still they go to a meat shop(specially chickens)where you can see that animal die slowly infront of you in our cheap slaughterhouse with no humane killing rules and still eat it...
But you can't say to a person where they don't even see how they are killed/and plus they are killed within a second using stunning techniques/plus here it is a story of a dog...They can't imagine a dog on the street without a owner and they care for them so yeah...Don't compare them...
They are developed for a reason...

India is a place where culture changes in every 50 km. you have mainly visited the cities where people have become more western influenced. had you visited the smaller areas like small towns and villages you would have experienced the cultures of india and its diversity 🙏🙏

I hope you're heading North! The doggos are much healthier and mountain culture in India is entirely unique. If you need inspiration, check out Frenchy, he spent 2ish months slowly riding his motorbike with his girlfriend in Himachal and Ladakh, taking in each village and town as they came.

In Kerala, now a days people are killing all the street dogs when one or two dogs cause the problem.
Sometimes even literacy can't make you a good person!

India is not just the north. While we will visit it, India is the people and the culture. You can’t find the vibe of the big cities in the north, which is just as much India as the rest.

At this point, I cant guess 😄where u guys are headed and btw its so nice that u have a great feeling abt dogs. I would hug you for that emotion. In this hot season, i make sure water pot and biscuits for 4 dogs around here. I make sure they eat but more than that, the pot shd be filled up by water so everybody including birds can drink it. In our area there is a hectare of land with trees and food and water for abt 10k pigeons and ors. I am so emotional too. Much love
