- Pakistan is often thought of as a dangerous country, but on the contrary, the locals are some of the nicest and most hospitable people in the world, with big hearts. On my previous trips, there have been numerous times when locals would refuse to let me pay, or would step in and pay for my meals and things. Today was a special day though, because an entire day went by without me having to pay a single cent. Come experience the hospitality of this country that tends to get a bad reputation.

As a Pakistani American, genuine happiness is only felt when you make an impact in making others feel that way. I've been raised with those principles. Being from Peshawar, I feel like it is doubled lol I always feel so out of place in the U.S. Strangely, my kindness and care only brings doubt and suspicion. All throughout my life, Ive given lots of love to those around me. I do not regret but it is just strange and pitiful that people do not want to be happy but dwell in negativity and bitterness. Rarely, did someone reciprocate that kindness with a genuine smile or reaction.

Let me tell you why they treat their guest like this is all because of Islam, their upbringing, their nurturing, their light heartness, humbleness everything comes from Islam. Islam teaches them to be like this around guest and even to their enemies if they are visiting their homes.
Pakistani men follow the sunnah (Acts) of Prophet pbuh and show it through their characters and actions. From north to south you will get this hospitality by the locals.
