I love how everyone complains about the Water Temple. Yet I had more trouble with this dungeon than I did with the Water Temple. The Water Temple was tedious in its own right, but having to do an escort mission (with a character who did nothing but complain!) on top of completing a level took the cake with this dungeon.
I will forever love that you can deal damage to enemies by throwing Ruto at them.
That's the only thing I could say about this dungeon that makes it more tolerable.

I’m convinced when ever a game designer is tasked to design a water level they get an ape with brain rot to do it for them.

Jabu Jabu has some major stomach issues.
The challenge with this one has been the electricity of the enemies. The fact I can't just slash through them is *killing* me LOL

Dang. I've never realized how quick and short this dungeon is. Then again all the dungeons as child link are short
It's quick when you know what you're doing, where to go, and are ignoring most enemies.

I remember being able to complete the Deku Tree in about fifteen minutes as a kid, but this one and Dodongo's Cavern used to took me longer. I got easily confused, lol. :p

i’m playing this game again and i always needed my older brothers help through this dungeon and this is the only time i actually needed to watch a walkthrough

I've played this game numerous times in my life. Unfortunately I always had my older brothers around to help me with this level specifically. When I've played alone I ALWAYS get so turned around and lost at this part that I typically give up lmao. Now I'm trying to best the game without my brothers help and this is a godsend lmao

Dungeon is atrocious right until you get the boomerang. I will say the game makes you feel pretty good once you get it

I remember it took me weeks but one day when i was about to sleep i thougth about using those wooden boxes, next day i was able to beat the dungeon, i still remember because of how satisfying it's to figure it out yourself, nowdays theres walkthrougths for everything, anyways good times... present time it's also great tho except for the covid

2:34 12 year old me had to buy a guide just to figure out turn around and go through that door. Spent hours, days stuck in this one. But breezed through the water and shadow temples without the guide. Lol

How do you return to the room at 1:51 if you fall into the other 3 holes instead of the one Ruto fell into?

I remember this part giving me sooo much trouble as a kid that I started fresh like 5 times but could never get past this part lol. Once you see how to do it the dungeon feels like one of the easiest but fuck if the layout didn't use to fry my brain for whatever reason
that boss is so bullshit z targeting doesn't work so you have to aim with the boomerang but half the time that doesn't work because it takes to long and the aim is jack shit i fucking hate it

I get to the 3rd level twice on my phone then it freezes when I try to go on here to remember how to beat this big thing at the end. All that work for nothing. I beat the whole game before tho
If those spikes on that rotating thing weren't there, fhis boss fight would be easy.

I absolutely despise this dungeon. It is so infuriating trying to figure out where to go in this confusing dungeon.
Can anyone help? I have a problem. I died by the tentacles of the mini boss and can't find Ruto anywhere now in order to trigger the mini-boss event in the elevator chamber again. And I can't get to any new rooms, or the new room with the boss now.. I'm stuck. ;) I've been going round and round, but I'm not achieving anything. I've restarted, exited the Dungeon, but Ruto is still gone.. Thanks to anyone for tipps! :)

I took a break from the game during this dungeon and i think my ds died in that time and when i played it again i couldnt find ruto so i suppose i have already done the stone part and that mini boss, but I didnt go to the chamber between that part and the main room in the middle and since I have already defeated the boss i cant go back, therefore i cant go to the right chamber that leads to the boss..
Does anyone know how to fix that?

Not really, as long as you keep moving and use the boomerang well.
not really well since i am playing on emulator for me it might but i remember it was easy on the 3D version
and now almost an hour later i got to the boss and it was easy
just dodge all the lightning it summons and hit the jellyfish and that is it
which now i see this was from a year ago so you probally already did that

I died at the octopus and thought I had to do that whole maze bs again. Almost broke the game but I retraced my steps and glad it wasn’t so. Stupid level design it’s easy to get lost
Sorry, did you have to find Ruto again? Because I wasn't able to and therefor couldn't trigger the tentacle mini boss event, because you need Ruto for that.. I can't find Ruto anymore, nor can I get to any new rooms... Thanks for any info you have. :)
@@narzissgoldmund1487 ruto is somewhere in there. Just retrace your steps… maybe the spawned her at the begging of the stage lol I don’t know why it spawns her in random places
