As a athlete/bodybuilder myself, I’m curious what your exercise routine was once you went into sf and if there was any carryover from your time as a bodybuilder
I was never really a body builder but I did to a few immature competitions. For being in a special operations unit and training for it, it's best to be lean and fit. Too much muscle will slow you down and make your burn to many calories so when I was in RRC I tried to stay around 195-205 lbs and super lean, with exceptional endurance. I wanted to be able to climb up a rope will full kit on using only arms if needed and still be able to cary 120lbs on my back for up to 40 miles in the mountains. To be an elite SOF operator I think Triathlon training mixed with weight training is key!! I would sign up and compete in half iron man comps, and olympic triathlons but I was always in the gym lifting to maintain muscle

You have much to offer. What you consider junk others might value and vice versa. As a lad, I used to love to hear my dad’s stories from his military experiences. Now, all I have are those memories. For instance he thought it shameful that his son would play with a doll (remember the first GI Joe figures?). Mine had a Browning machine gun he said was like his. Next thing ya know he was saying that during the Hungarian uprising he had to watch the Kigs come in just above the trees because they would see his tracers and go inverted and out race his bullets. I was 6 years old and couldn’t grasp something going faster than a bullet. Later as a 45 year old it occurred to me he was talking about real shit. 🤷🏻♂️ I not the brightest crayon in the box.
