Ingredients:
1 cup basmati rice ( or any long grain rice )
4 small bay leaves or 2 big bay leaves
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
1.5 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice - Jak na to + styl

jose oro ordering in the drive through is literally torture. Both times I’ve gotten it we’ve been missing ingredients. Added random items. And we were missing full meals. 100% don’t recommend

just tried this and it came out JUST LIKE chipotle's!! thanks so much! I doubles the lime and lemon measurements and didn't use as much cilantro (didn't have enough) and it still came out amazing.

Just a Tip: traditional Mexican Lime rice uses Sinaloa (long grain) rice ,Toast the rice and crushed Garlic/cumin to add some extra flavor

I know I'm way late to this but I'm just looking around for the recipes for chipotle foods to refresh my memory from when I worked there in 2014. The only thing you've missed here: when rice is done, at chipotle they put sunflower oil into the rice and mix it up before dividing it into pans, and as each pan is made, that's when you'd add cilantro, salt, and citrus. you're missing the oil here.
Wow appreciate you soooo much! I tried this & it came out bomb! I did do a few different things though:
- I added 1 tablespoon of butter to a 1 cup pot of jasmine rice
- I added 4 to 8 small bay leaves
- I doubled the lime & lemon juice measurements
But it all came out great 👍🏾👍🏾

Rice is highly absorbent so I always premix all my liquids together instead of one at a time and mix quickly so I don’t have random spots of sour then flavorless rice

I just wanna say I work there and it’s not Bismati rice and no fresh lemon juice we use 1 tbs salt 2 cups cilantro and 1/2 cup of lemon lime juice
