Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is capitalizing on the Tate-La Bianca murders. Just like all the other movies about it are. I'm sure Tarantino made a pretty penny from the movie. Also, Brad Pitt and the other actors in it. Debra Tate may like the movie. She forgets that a lot of money was made from her sisters murder.

The question was offensive to the filmmaker because she asked why wasnt Margot Robbie , the amazing actor was not given more lines. That in itself is a. a stupid question , because actors can be given any number of lines by the director, if the role is not meaty enough it is upto the actor to reject if, and b. it is meant to look Tarantino umcomfortable when Margot is sitting next to him
. If it was a movie related question, she should have asked,
Why does Sharon Tate speak less lines in the movie. Maybe she couldnt ask that because it must be very obvious in the movie , that is a movie about Leo and Brads characters
This was just meant to disparage a director for not balancing dialogues and scenes with main actors , no writer should be asked to thing on that terms. Its a question which tried to box him into a corner and his response is valid

I'm probably the odd man out making this comment. Once upon a Time in Hollywood is like all of the other films about the 1969 murders. It's capitalizing on them. It can't be said that Tarantino didn't make a pretty penny from the movie. All these movies are profiting off of the murders. Debra Tate may have liked the movie. In essence, it was just another movie about her sister. Tarantino and all the other people who are making the movies about the murders need to let Sharon Tate and the rest of the victims rest in peace.

David heyman was there. The most powerful on the panel yet no one knows who he is.
QTarantino was influenced by the Warhol style and background music of Warhols films because they were outrageous, confrontational & post neo realist ( Fellini). Warhol ignored Hollywoods political correctness and self censorship. He filmed shocking things like full frontal nudity , peoples boring every day lives , LGBTQ people, drug taking and murdering babies etc etc etc all backed by a quirky sound track.. QT realised the power of this style of movie. Which is written all over his classic Pulp Fiction and his latest creation Once Upon a Time.

he's protecting US, the audiences, from the spoilers and from dumbass questions aiming only to poke at certain things not related at all to the movie.

Yeah, because some of these questions are made to trap him. A lot of these publications aren’t for truth, they’re for clicks, and that’s what they’re trying to do asking him loaded questions.
He knew these kind of questions were coming. Better to reject it outright than to divugle and get tangled and taken out of context. Margot handled it extremely well

Quentin lost it at the end there.. didnt know how to answer and took the question too personally. Margot handled it well. My understanding of the movie is that its not about tate or the murders.. that is an event that just coincides with the overall plot of the movie.. more like a subplot. Thats all Quentin had to say.. kind of weird he got angry and went defensive.
@AndyXP yeah.. you can ask anything you want... and she asked a good question and he took it the wrong way, tarantino is losing it... again. He has absolutely no control over his temper and it will be his undoing.
He had a right to lose it because this question has been asked a *lot* and addressed a lot in critical response. As usual, he's taken great pains to answer the question in a very profound, eloquent fashion *multiple* times and I think it just built up for him. It's like the question about violence. He can answer the same questions the same way so many times without feeling like he's under attack and getting defensive. Margot of course gave a lovely grace-note with her chiming in, but it is different for her because she isn't the one under critical attack for making an artistic choice.
