i recommended it to my friend and he said he was bored. thats the first negative comment i heard for this series. i've read atleast a hundred comments and they were all positive or just okay but not boring as he said.

There is actually a season 2, titled "Imawa Kuni no Alice Retry".

The live action only covers 7/18 volumes of the original story, so don't go read it before finish this one.

The OVAs series starts from the beginning (with the real version of "3 of Clubs", since the one in the live action is an original one) and reaches the "7 of Hearts" ending.
It speed things up but if you're into this fandom I recommend you to watch it.

well korean entertainment industry has been attempting to target view outside their country for a long time and have many foreign kdrama fans but japan never really considered to attracts foreigners until recenty .. so i think that`s why.

As expected from Japan’s It Boy and It girl >< but weird thing is seeing Dori Sakurada here with such a role after seeing him in Coffee and Vanilla which is like Asian fifty shades lol except tht was a lot better than western fifty shades
They are!! I like how Kento and Tao went from indie/being live action royalties to getting more diverse roles. As expected, indeed! And trust me, Dori aces arrogant arsehole roles like Niragi here as much as he does his roles like in Coffee and Vanilla😆

Just watched this movie, lets make sure that it can get a 3rd, 4th, etc. season! You can support the series by encouraging others to watch it, posting about it, reviewing it (Netflix, IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes, Google Reviews), and watching videos about it! This show is amazing and deserves ALL of the hype, so excited for season 2!

This is a POWERFUL analogy of Japanese social economic life if not all social economic life around the world. Literally, a game to the rich, and life/death to the common; and a competition for the young.
This one is based on the manga (a masterpiece) called "Imawa no Kuni no Alice" aka "Alice in Borderland" by Haro Aso.
There's an OVA series with just 3 episodes (covered 3/18 volumes of the manga) and this live action will adapt half of the manga series.
It's my favourite manga, if you're into them I recommend it to you!

The hype is real for this one! I hope the live action will do justice to the manga. Also just as important, I sincerely hope that viewers who are able to watch it legally, will watch it on Netflix. I am both excited and nervous about this. I personally really want to see this adaptation see a closure. With this one possibly only cover a half of the story, I want to see season 2 pushes through. When the source material is THAT good, I think others will understand why I want this to happen so much. So yeah, I hope viewers who are able to support legally, let's do so! 🙏

Both Squid game and Alice were amazing, although compared to squid game, Alice felt more paced which I enjoyed (Mainly due to that cop sub-plot in squid game, I mean I get why it was necessary to have that plot but still the mystery in Alice is more)
