    I appreciate the clarity of your instructions. I also liked how you showed various ways to achieve a similar result and explained why one was more effective. I have been using Illustrator for years at work but have never explored Inkscape too much. Glad to see how straightforward Inkscape really is. Looking forward to the next tutorial!

      Thank you so much for the feedback my friend, I really do appreciate it. I also use Illustrator so I understand the differences you reference. Inkscape itself, lacks some of the more powerful features like 3D rendering but is also way more accessible for the average user. Also, due to Inkscape being open-source, the fact it is a free alternative means the value is phenomenal. I will be uploading the second part to this video (adding colour & shading) within the next few days so there won't be long to wait.

    Hi I have been looking for a video like this one and part 2 for copying images i find online and making them into layered cut files to send to my cricut. Thankyou for being so thorough with your instructions this has helped me immensely

      You are very welcome. I always try to explain why I am doing the things that I do so there is no confusion. I am very happy that you have found it useful.
