- This video is part 2 to my balloon garland tutorial with a strip - this is going to show you what simple steps you can take in less than 20 minutes to make your DIY balloon garland look more professional.

This tutorial is for the DIYer who doesn’t want to hire a balloon artist (or can’t find one who’s available) and wants to make a cute balloon garland for their party, shower or bonanza.
I’m going to show you how you can take your garland from simple to gram-worthy in about 20 minutes, with just what came in your balloon garland kit you got off of Amazon!

Hi! I am building my garland based on a kit I purchased from Amazon for my mom's birthday tomorrow. I went from panicking when I didn't see very detailed instructions on Amazon to excited to put this together after seeing your 2 part tutorial! Great video that helped me understand some of the details of making a balloon garland. I'm making one for the first time for a baby shower and hoping it turns out well. I will be hanging it on a wooden arbor, so I'm going to try to use ribbon to attach it on the top of the arbor then attach it at the bottom. Wish me luck! :)

Hi, Rachel!! I'm planning my son's first birthday party and I'm so happy I came across your channel! These tutorials are so wonderfully detailed and easy to understand. I'm wondering: if I go the route of ordering my own balloons and other supplies, rather than ordering a kit... how many balloons do you recommend in each color/size to make the garland really full, as you show in this Part 2 video? For example, to build a 16 ft. garland with 4 different colors, how many of each color/size balloon would you recommend purchasing? Thanks so much!! 🙃
Hi Courtney, that is so exciting! Happy first birthday to your boy 💙 Sooooo that kind of depends. I am partial to using 11 & 17 inch balloons for the bulk of the garland, and including a few 24 inchers and some 5 inchers as well. You don't *have* to have every color in every size, but of course that's what looks the most "perfect" if you will. But I'd say go close to half and half on the 11 & 17s - maybe 15-20 of each color in those two sizes, throw in maybe 3-5 24"ers and maybe 10 5" in each color. Off the top of my head. 💋

Thank you for this! You make it look so easy! For a picture backdrop that is not a cloth curtain, are safety pins ok to use when hanging balloon garland?

I hang the balloons from whatever is holding up the vinyl, that frame. Tie something directly to the frame (fishing line, 260s, etc.) 😊

Hello. Can you use glue dots for all the extra added balloons or use a ribbon? For the ones you use to tie in with a ribbon and I would like to try it with glue dots if possible.
I made my very first baloon garland yesterday. I think it went well despite it being my first attempt! But I was unsuccessful in adding extra baloons at the end. It was difficult to get the ribben around some of the baloons

Hi Jacob! Usually they can be done a day or more ahead of time, but I always recommend you test it by inflating a few of the ones you'll be using to see how they age and have confidence how they'll do for you!

Do you make them the day of or how far out do you put them together?
Is it OK to make The Garland main base the night before the party and then at the party add the little extra balloons to it?
Usually! I would test it by inflating a few several days ahead of time to make sure your balloons will still look good the next day : )

Rachel, I need to attach a strip Garland to a staircase that have to spindles, just plexi glass and no Spence between the railing and plexi. Should I use command hooks with 260’s to attach Garland. It is for Xmas.
I’d test it out and see how that works for you! Command hooks are kinda the best temp option I’ve found but you gotta put ‘em on right and follow the directions 🙏🏻

How long do the confetti balloons last? Do they deflate faster than the others?

Whiya what's best for tying the clusters to main arch balloons, 260s, fish line or ribbon?
My favorite is 260s but fishing line is also great! It’s up to personal preference. Hope that helps!!

That sounds beautiful! I also love it with fall colors like soft oranges and browns, and pairing it with shades of pink is always a winner!
@@BubblyBalloonCo how about combining macarons pastel balloons and chrome balloons maam bubbly? Pastel colors like pink, fuchsia, peach and chrome balloons (fuchsia and pink) all 370 balloons with sizes 5, 10, and 12 inches. Will the combination colors look nice?

Hey there!! Honestly, it's hard to pop professional grade balloons lol!!! I'd test it out ahead of time by inflating a few of the ones you'll be using, see how they age over a day or two and see how much they can take so you get comfortable with them! Also, I sometimes put the garland in huge lawn + leaf bags to protect them : ) Best of luck!!

Help! I keep putting balloons on garland strip and they are popping off. What am i doing wrong!? Is the knot not big enough to keep from slipping out?
How early could I make this in advance?
Hi Gabby, good question! I would inflate a few balloons as soon as your kit arrives and see how they age over the coming days. If they look pretty unchanged, the night before or even a day or so in advance could be safe, as long as it'll be indoors and out of direct sunlight.

How do you transport the garland?
Carefully, lol. jk. Usually just bend it to fit in a car or SUV, but I also use the huge lawn & leaf bags as needed and transport it in sections as needed, or multiple vehicles if required.

Hi Jenn, this was probably around 100 balloons in all.
Many people use balloon garland kits off of Amazon, Etsy, etc. to make their garlands with. Others buy bags of balloons in different sizes & colors. Either way is fine, but many people buy kits to keep it simple.
