Al Darago is a US Army veteran of World War II, where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He received the Distinguished Service Cross for his actions at the Bulge.

I think they all were done before these guys passed away….
There’s a reason they were called the greatest generation. They earned it with blood sweat and tears and I’m with you. These interviews need to be required for public school education. If nothing else to provide an example of someone who actually earned and deserves respect.
