Clash of cultures is a real thing. You cannot ignore or minimize major conflicting interests when attempting to integrate humans any more than with other animals. I've experienced these craziness years ago. The health care clinic denied my wife service because it was supposedly only for illegal immigrants. I just got out of the service and move afar the city. my wife needed a vaccine. The closest I can get it is a health care center catering illegals. They denied me services but for illegals its free. I offered to pay out of my pocket. I got turned down. I have to drive to the city which about 2 hours away.
Just show up next time without ID and tell them you are a migrant.

Even some of my more pro-migrant relatives have started to burn out. My step cousin recently went through a nightmare of letting out one of her rentals homes next to her homestead in the promise of doing gardening an looking for a job. At first they were kind helpful an hard working... but that promptly that changed once they go comfortable. Stuff of hers were disappearing, even farm animals. The final straw was when she found out they were renting every space possible to outhers they knew! When she kicked them out though they absolutely strip mined the place! What couldn't be sold was vandalized. Its been years but she's still struggling to fix the house, an when bringing up the issue she was all but told to shut up.
That sucks but she invited it into her home. It's funny how some people refuse to see truth and advocate for their own demise but as soon as it affects them, it's a tragedy.

I got out of military last year, couldn’t get a job. Had to live without health insurance for more than a year because I barely make the rent. Meanwhile, there were tens of thousands of people were bussing from the border and placed in hotels, getting free food and healthcare. I felt so depressed when I saw the news about those people complaining the food quality and living conditions.

While "The People" of New York are empathetic toward migrants, in no way is "everyone" comfortable with the financial impacts and total the disregard of the existing displaced citizens of this city who were and are still in desparate need of affordable housing and also mental facilities to help those with such issues and are homeless. What happened to the consideration of the voters/tax payers wishes for where the funding in their communities goes toward?
The issue that few community's oppositions are heard and complied with as it relates to the sheltering of migrants and the majority of communities are discounted, is absurdly offensive to say the least. Most communities would have the same concerns as Staten Islanders.
Albeit, running a large city is a big responsibility, but if every taxpayer/resident have no input to the important changes implemented, that potentially and in many cases, adversely impact their lives and safety it going to be chaos on the streets of that city from poor decision making.

When I was low on funds I used to buy a dozen eggs and eat egg salad for a week. She tells me the rumors are the mayor Adams will issue executive order and require New Yorkers open their doors to migrants and host them during the winter which is supposed to be very cold. They will be compensated for accepting migrants.

Multiple adults illegally living in one household. Rockland County recently shut down a house that had 31 people living there. If even 1/3 of them are adults they could easily afford the rent burden.
What for? They are getting food, shelter, health benefits and a monthly check, plus they will get a work permit, they can work half time and keep the benefits, while the work class pays the rest.
