    How did you get from the airport to town? Heard taxi from new airport is expensive. Also how do you get around town. Did you take taxi. Local bus or join local tour for sightseeing in quito?

    Just a random question -- how hard was it to adjust to the altitude sickness?
    Thanks!

    Are you vegetarian? How was the vegetarian/vegan scene in Ecuador? That's so cool how they played cowspiracy!

    Hi Nicole, Bravo to you for following your dreams and embarking on your world tour! You won't regret it. May I ask a few questions? I am leaving for the Galapagos and then Guatemala, afterwards. I'd like to do a week in the Galapagos. I think you said you did almost a month. 1, Did you need a US international certificate of vaccination from the CDC to enter Ecuador? 2, Are the mosquitoes a problem in the Galapagos? Is a small cruise boat (16) better than doing day trips from Puerta Ayora, given the travel time in the speed boats? I've read the blogs but wanted your opinion. I hope I am not intruding but I followed your travels and your reporting was very poignant and straightforward. Thank you, Ron

    Hey, so I am traveling to Quito for 10 days, as a solo traveler, and I keep reading that is dangerous. Mainly when it comes to looking like a tourist, with the camera out, and using IPhones. I was just wondering how has it been for you? Especially since you were recording out in the public. Did you feel safe in Ecuador?

    • @NicoleChiuTravels
      @NicoleChiuTravels  Před 7 lety +4

      I felt safe in Ecuador, you just have to be aware of your surroundings! Have fun on your trip!

      @sakura7748 Před 7 lety

      did you already go to Quito? if not, send me a message if you had any question. You have to be careful in certain areas and at night. Just like any other city, but depending on the area and at night traveling alone can be dangerous.

      Karen Hermar Ecuador is sure to travel, dont think in those comments that says it is dangerous
      pdta:just take care at night especially in guayquil.

      Like any other big cities, there are good and bad neighborhoods you know. Quito is one of the safest capitals in South America but always stay alert and avoid going by yourself.

    just out of curiosity, do you ever get stared down or looked at funny because you're asian and you're in south america? or get cat called by random guys?? I'm asian too and when i was in Brazil, a lot of people asked for pictures with me etc. like how in china, white americans get a lot of attention from the locals.

    • @NicoleChiuTravels
      @NicoleChiuTravels  Před 8 lety +3

      +cynthia Good questions! Not too much, but it depends where I am. There are actually a lot of Asian immigrants in South America... and to be honest... the cat calling is way worse in New York City!
