Me emocioné al ver este vídeo, que hermosa la Capital del Ecuador, y su entorno, Mindo, el teleférico, la mitad del mundo, que ganas de regresar y estar ahí.
I've now been to Ecuador twice, and have seen many of the sights listed in this 2-part video. Mitad del Mundo is especially impressive, and so is the view from the top of that tram ride: 4050 Meters above sea level: 13,287 feet. They have changed a few of the "flavors" of the oxygen...and one was NOT a flavor I cared to try! lol Interesting, also, about the Archbishop's palace having public rest rooms. The current Archbishop of Quito is a personal friend of mine. Another friend painted his official portrait that is now hanging in that cathedral. Another thing to see: Every Monday morning at 11AM is the "changing of the guard" ceremony... which actually has a different name, of course. However, it is replete with great music, drill teams in costumes, and horses! The whole thing takes about 30 minutes, and is worth watching...and enjoying.
Thanks Samantha….it was great fun following you through the streets of Quito and area. I might be visiting this Shangri-la this year, and I'm even more stoked now. The quality and content of these 2 videos is first class, even if you made a faux pas with respect to the music! So…can someone tell me the difference between salsa and the music of Quito???
