Just came across your channel, and have been binge watching. My brother had a 65, I believe, with a 2 something and a 4 speed. There is a 4 cycl. here in town. Don't know him but see it him t the car shows a lot. Funniest looking engine I've ever seen. (Van Isle, B.C.)_

First harness I did back in the 80s I put the hot for the lighter on the ground terminal and learned fast how quickly the smoke comes out!

10:31-10:50 : That is a block-off plate. Most '64-'72 (Tempest/LeMans/GTO) used this as a standard. You could get optional clock or tachometer.

You guys worked your butts off in a wk.You`re gonna have some bugs, which is par for the course.The cluster looks too nice for the rest of the dash though. Might have to freshen up the "black" and the "silver" trim.With that nice interior the dash has got to match up better IMO.
14:10-14:25. Dakota Dash/Gauges does not stock the dash bezel. You can try Ames/Performance Years or the Parts Place. I know since '69 and '70-'72 is available.
Olivia, I can see and hear your sadness in not being there to work on your Tempest. I'm looking forward to seeing the look on your face when your motor starts for the first time. I know the guys are working hard and should be commended but you need to return ASAP, I'm sure they could benefit from some adult supervision. LOL just kidding. guys!

Liv, tell your boys that a TRUE street rod doesnt need a big blasting stereo system, as no music is as sweet as the growl of a nice engine sound 😂. A good street rodder is more interested in listening to the "symphony of horsepower ", and early detection of any "instrument" that might be having problems.
Trust me I’ll be listening closely for any suspicious sounds, but its also super nice to blast the beach boys while cruising PCH. Just can’t beat those vibes. 😊 The stereo was a must 👍

Fellas, from a car audio enthusiast I have to tell you that you should never run your power and ground wires down the same side of the vehicle and you should run the RCA cables down the side with the ground to avoid motor static or engine noise (feedback) hopefully you don't have this issue when the motor goes in but if you then buy a ground loop isolator and that should help eliminate the unwanted noises....

Can you share the info on which transmission cross-member and which engine mounts you went with?
Nice work except I didn't see a red battery cable, look like you used black for positive. You set off my electrical OCD.
I have the same setup on engine mounts and trans. How did you get the long tube headers to fit?? I had speed engineering and I would have to bang the headers to fit. Did you have issues?? I now have mid length Holley headers and fit very nicely without issues.

What motor mounts are you using? Im doing a swap in a 66 lemans?
It is best to get the frame mounts from a '66-'67 Chevelle, since they do have the direct installation, unlike keeping the Pontiac OHC 6 or the Pontiac V8.
The Dorothy fox goes in the tempest the v 8 goes elsewhere

I must be missing something. The old voltage reg was completely removed, and so were the wires going to it. What will happen?
@@GnarlySpeedShop on LS factory tge "L" terminal takes an exciter voltage from ECU that doesn't exist in aftermarket engine management. Your kit may come with a resistor, if not you used tge factory gen light bulb as that resistor (bonus the gen light works 😉👍
