    similar to my 'chuck wagon' i use a pick up truck with lockers to serve a hearty lunch and dinner to pipeline workers, well, i did up until a few weeks ago until the president shut down the pipeline construction. i served about 90 to 100 meals twice a day, i had to pick up and move every few weeks, it was fun, miss it.

    very good effort for your first woodworking project, very nice, those brass latches are springing back open because there is tension on the door/hinge, you might find if you adjust the position of the hinge by packing it in or out or up or down that it will stop doing that, keep it up 👍

      Thanks very much Jack. Cheers for the tips, I ended up adjusting them slightly and adding more hinges and an extra magnetic lock on each side. Now they are rock solid 👍

    It all about what works for you and you've achieved that. You also learn as you go and you're also far from finishing. By that I mean you'll always be tinkering. I'm still tweaking my set up after 12 years of owning my GU, its never ending but its like a hobby for me, I love it. Each camping trip you'll discover a tweak to make things more functional. Watching other Tubers setups helps ten fold. I have one more little tweak and then I'm posting a 'Walk-Around' on my set up. Keep us up to date and look forward to your 'Walk-Around'

    When you do, or have done your dual battery system, look into the dc dc enerdrive mppt solar controler and a 200 amp hr lithium lifepo4 battery, you can use house panels with bigger than 12v service, e.g... 42 v producing 300 watts of solar, that's nuts, now you can run any thing you want basically, invest in a little coffee machine, you won't regret it, Davi b

    Hi mate good set up looking to do something similar, you may have mentioned but I missed but how have you attached to the floor? Or is it just using the weight of items to stay there? Cheers

    • @TheOutFit
      @TheOutFit  Před 4 lety +1

      Mainly the weight but I have also used some steel cable and hooks that connect from the back of the unit to the rear of the back seats. That stopped it sliding at all. She doesn't budge. I don't know what to call the hook but if you turn it, it tightens up both ends

      Google is your friend. A way of saying "you're all set" or "you've got it made." In 1887, British Prime Minister Robert Gascoyne-Cecil appointed his nephew Arthur James Balfour as Minister for Ireland. The phrase 'Bob's your uncle' was coined when Arthur referred to the Prime Minister as 'Uncle Bob'. Apparently, it's very simple to become a minister when Bob's your uncle!
