Strv 103 is [one of] Sweden's main battle tank ;) WoT doesn't have that classification (and probably never will) so they classed it as a TD.
Funnily enough War Thunder classes it as a medium lol

Obj260 released in early 2015.
French tanks released in late 2011 / early 2012.
They basically have the same gun characteristics, with the 50B winning slightly in DPM and the 260 in shell speed. The 50B having gold APCR compared to the 260's gold HEAT can be argued either way. APCR has the speed but HEAT has more pen. Gun handling is almost the same, slightly worse for the 50B due to the autoloader.
For the tank handling, the 260 has a better PW ratio, but worse coefficients, lower top speeds and worse traverse.
For the armour, the 260 wins that hands down.
So sure, the 260 has way more armour for slightly worse speed, but speed isn't the only thing the 260 trades.
260 is strong, but in 2021 it's not overpowered anymore

played world of tanks console yesterday, got that elc even 90 with a turbo and that thing goes 94km/h... do you realize how hard the elc even is to hit on console while going 94 km/h? its crazy overpowered, and crazy fun
haven't played the game on console all year, sad to hear that thing is still cancer lmao, does it still take 0 dmg when it does triple flips off ridges and bridges landing on its turret? than speed off like nothing happened?
@@WyldWolfDragon yes, but its also more like you get fucked by artillery for 1200 without them penning every 20 seconds, the way the HUD is makes your situational awareness horrible, i myself haven't played since the 6.0 update and just recently installed the game back to do something stupid. be happy u havent played lol
The Even 90 is pure cancer on Console. It’s downright overpowered - most light tanks on Console are - they’re practically more cancerous than arty now.
@@jacobsekela8691 agreed but the players are mostly monkeys so it kinda balances out, most of the light tanks die within the 1st minute of the game but if youre an actually good player then its absolutely mad-youre right
True that. The fact that the shell speed on console is MUCH slower combined with the innate server delay makes hitting moving targets a real pain for most players. Ripping around on LTs on console is so much fun.
Imagine just minding your average medium tank business and suddenly an AMX 50 B jumps out of hyperspace and you feel like a blockade runner being chased by a star destroyer...
I played wot when i was a child and coming back to if after so many years is great, thanks for fuelling my love for this game
It was so much better when you were a child. Game is shit now, unless you have 40 hours a week to grind everything to make your tank comparable to the elite players.

@@gameziller649 I admit, it is fun, it could just be so much more. I play on EU server now, even though I'm in America. They took my original Beta NA account from me. They said I purchased it from someone, even though it was my original account from Beta testing. I even emailed them all of my proof, as in original emails from account setup in 2011ish. Ugh, lol, anyways, happy tanking 😁
Can't wait to have all those 100+ Km/h (heavy) tanks zipping around the battlefield in the future! I guess Wargamming thought if you can't beat the EBR you join the EBR ...

You could also put grousers on to decrease terrain resistances and therefore your effective power to weight ratio, but it would take away all ramming potential.
Instead of what tho? You can't ditch the turbo that is the main part of the build, you can't ditch the vents that boosts everything about the tank and if you take the grousers then you can't have the fuel due to not having the spall liner that protects the crew and add extra weight for the rams thus makes this build less effective. Even if on paper sounds better, in reality it is not worth it.
@@Kekkening Yeah it would be the spall liner. And I contradicted myself in the comment already, so I know it's not worth it. But the main goal of the video was to find the fastest heavy. This technically isn't it.
Ramming potential is all well and good for the memes, but in all honesty I'd prefer to get more mobility or even firepower.
I think you've turned the AMX 50B into an MBT like vehicle, I mean it's fast, has the armor in the front, and has a decently large gun
This is why I love the machine on console. Standard top speed of 67, has a chieftain turret and the TVPs auto loader. Just an insane tank

As for a recommendation - it might not at all be connected with the matter at hand, but I’d really appreciate seeing you commentate on battles that could be competitive battles of random ones or clan ones, anything just giving your interpretation on the strategies and tactics teams use, how they cooperate and achieve synergy and how they build up their tank lineups. Also I would love to see you playing some “weak tanks” again and how you manage to overcome a handicap from the tank on the occasional bad map or from the situation.

To be honest, the bounty turbo on my super Pershing (my only premium) has completely changed the game for me, makes it perform much more like a heavy medium, so I can go brawl with mediums and have the armor actually be effective, whereas before the turbo, I had duke it out with heavies and it was no fun because their penetration is just way more dangerous than with mediums

Tortoise and Badger are also sick with bond turbo. They lose their only weakness, and you end up with the tanks with the highest dpm, but they are also fast enough to not be flanked that easily, with the higher reverse and turning speed. And the higher forward speed helps them get into some cheeky positions early and surprise some enemies with their huge dpm.
Nice to see a 50B match. It's very underrated. Would love to see this strategy at a lower tier though. Like 5 6 or maybe 7.

Underrated module is the improved tracks. I put them on my E100 and vs soft terrain with a turbo and gas....DAMN IT MOVES.

I recently put 100 octane gas and a turbo on a Scorpion G and I noticed a huge quantity of life improvement for climbing hills

I would've exchanged the Vents either for a Stabalizer or Ground Resistance. From the Gameplay I'd say Stabalizer. Though I don't got the Aimtime in my Head.
Also I think this fits the AMX 50 B's Role on the Battlefiefld excellent (viewed from a WGL / 7v7 Fan)
QB, you need to check out the equipment Improved Grousers. I thought they were a worthless meme pick at first, but they give a great boost to traverse speed and more importantly, a HUGE buff to all ground resistances. I've done the math, and on every single tank they improve your effective power to weight ratio MORE than a turbocharger, and if you double stack the two you can get SILLY effective power to weights.
The use case is a tad niche, but on any tank where you'd like to turn faster and don't really need the top speed so much (Kranvagn, Object 260, IS-7) I think it is a viable choice to replace the turbocharger with Improved Grousers. And it might even be worth it on some tanks to stack both at once.
For a tank with high terrain resistance, it will give you quite a boost on acceleration.
@@GregorianMG Indeed, but it's still a great pick on a tank with lower resistances as long as it doesn't need that top speed.
The Kranvagn is a really good example of a tank for this, and the effective p2w increases 50% more than if you just use the turbocharger. That's on hard terrain too, the effective p2w increase is even better on medium and soft over the turbo

swap vents for grousers for extra 6km/h on soft, and couple of more °/s traverse speed. dispersion stays the same, accuracy and aimtime a bit lower ofc, and -68 dpm

i usually get mad when i have a 50B in my team because this thing will get blasted even by tier 8 vehicules when other tier 10 heavies such as 705A or 60TP will have a way bigger impact and defense against them

this is great build for kranvagen taking great position and force enemy tanks to fight with ur turret witch is great
You should check grousers for acceleration. It reduces your terrain resists by effectively 12-13%, which increases your p/w ratio the exact same %. That's if you want to gamble not using the spall liner, or get a little bonus over the vents at the cost of other things. If you have offroad driving, it'll do a lot as well. With offroad driving, clutch braking, bia, same consumables and instead of a spall liner, having grousers. The top speed is still the same, but the 10%+ reduction on terrain resists also boosts your p/w ratio by that much.
Going from 1.13 without grousers to 1.02 on hard terrain will make your p/w go from 23.026 to 25.509 on hard terrain. And on medium terrain, 22.24 to 24.32. If you really want to gamble it, drop the repair kit and double fuel. That'll make the p/w 27.34 on the AMX 50b. But of course, do you want to take the risk of losing your crew at the cost of another 12% p/w increase?
I'd probably drop the vents for grousers for speed though. and i dont want to do the math for that now.

How will Crew 2.0 impact this? I imagine that you could get this up even higher. Also the heavy spall line reduces the Power to weight, as it adds a lot of weight to the tank. Putting grousers on instead and not the premium consumable would be better.

obj 260 with field mods gets a 70 top speed and 28 hp/t with the bond turbo, 5% lease oil and the 10% speed governor. but the difference is that it has actual armor.
