The German Princess Diana, castles, and a 1000 year old town. Magical Christmas Day in Germany.

- Come and see where the "German Lady Diana" lived in Bavaria, the Sissi Schloss in Unterwittelsbach by Aichach. I show you a castle where I had my Christmas lunch, Schloss Blumenthal, which has been serving beer for 616 years. And then we´ll see the beautiful Christmas lights in the 1000 year old German town of Aichach.
My meditative videos show a calming and artistic view of the places I visit and the quiet, peaceful wanders I take through them. Medieval villages, picturesque cottages, beautiful cities. Relax and escape with me from the busy bustling world to my dreamy and serene slow living way of seeing my surroundings. Experience the magic of peering into the past and being in a fairytale, just for a little while.

Just found your channel and love it! Liked and subbed! You're such a good story teller and your voice and video skills have a very relaxing ASMR quality to them. And I am happily surprised to learn that Germany has alcohol free beer!
I‘m thrilled to have you here, Gillian! Thank you! Yes, Germany has lots of very good alcohol free beers! Although some people would argue differently lol! I really like it in the Summer, thirst quenching without putting me straight to sleep!
Yes, I‘m hoping my content is relaxing. Just a few minutes of escape!
Either I drink beer or soft drinks, water, juice, tonic and so on, but no non-alcoholic beer. OMG. I come from Germany
You have the best voice for voice overs! But that doesn’t surprise me since you’re a singer! We were just watching Sissi this weekend so this is fun to watch!
We‘re watching it now! It makes total sense that you‘re a dancer with your fantastic Ausstrahlung- presence! Thank you so much, Sara!

Hello, I am so glad that you are loving living in Germany. My family and I just returned from spending Christmas in Germany two days ago and of course, I am looking forward to my next trip. :).
What a lovely place, nice to get introduced to it with Sisi playing a big role in Austria and Vienna of course.
That's definitely a highlight.
It´s so sweet and tiny compared to the big Austrian palaces. I love to imagine her having fun here.
So schön, vielen Dank!
Sehr gerne, ich danke!
Ein Video voller Begeisterung, da macht es Freude zuzuschauen 👍 A video full of exaltation, it's a joy to watch 🙂
Danke sehr! Ich liebe es, diesen Kanal zu haben, wo ich meine Begeisterung teilen kann! Das hat mir gefehlt. Thank you for your lovely comment!

Blumenthal is such a lovely name for a valley and a castle.
Beautiful footage!
Thank you! The funny thing is, I only really noticed what Blumenthal means, because I made the video. I love CZcams!
@@LaureninGermany CZcams really is a great way to expand ones horizon!
@@sisuguillam5109 yes, totally! There is a lot of quality content, from people who have really made an effort.

Hi Lauren,

Congratulation! I`m definitily looking forward to your terrific presentation of sights and the historic describtions! Have a lovely time and stay healthy, best wishes from Manching
Hi Huba Buba! Thank you so much, that’s such a lovely comment! My cousin is an expert on Jane Austen so you just made me feel great - I will tell her what you wrote! I‘d like to ask you to consider subscribing if you haven’t already - it would really help me keep going!
The history on my doorstep is truly fascinating! I will do follow up videos with more details about the places I visited on Christmas Day. Which one are you most interested in?
All of them :). I hope that you and yours had a very Merry Christmas :).
*ohhhhhhhhh sissi! ohhhhhhhhh franz!* delightful schnulze (which is the german word for a weepie or schmaltzy kitsch).
bloody nora, do you have a wonderful voice!
Oh my, I haven´t heard anyone say bloody Nora for a long time. My mum used to say it. Thank you Uncle Hubert, you are indeed my favourite.

Sissy und Der kleine Lord! Fed up with as with Last Christmas I gave you my heart 🤣
Bah humbug, you! Mind you, I have never seen Der kleine Lord. I also had to stop watching Sissi, when they took Sophie away. I got too upset. But I LOVE Last Christmas, I gave you my heart, and the very next day you gave it away… this year… ( ok- is it in your ear yet?! 😂)

So beautiful
Oh thank you so much!
I love the little history facts you add to the beautiful images! 😇Beautifully done! I really like the giant Advent calendar! Hope you had a very Merry Christmas!
Thank you! Yes, especially this year and last, the Germans have been making Adventsfenster- Advent windows, for the children to be able to walk around and see safely.

Die Puppenspieler from Tanja Kinkel a Book about the Fugger Family very interesting
Didn’t they make it into a film? I watched it a while ago, I think. It was very interesting indeed.
@@LaureninGermany yes but the book is so much better,
there is a deeper insight into the business practices of the Fuggers (Venice for example or copper monopoly in Europe) and the history. There are of course also non-fiction books about how he helped emperors popes to be elected, not for nothing of course grin 🙄
The Fuggerei in Augsburg is the oldest social settlement in the world, founded by Jacob so he could go to heaven. Bezos Musk Gates... today 🤔
@@arnodobler1096 I‘m sure the book is better. But I will say the film got me interested in Jakob Fugger. Augsburg here I come..!
Hallo Arno :). Isn't Lauren Amazing?

Hello Lauren, I wish you a Happy New Year. I hope you are visiting the most beautiful federal state in Germany. The green heart of Germany, my home, Thuringia. I come from Greiz / East Thuringia. Greiz the pearl of the Vogtland.
Hallo Mike, Happy New Year, to you too, thank you!
I very much want to go to Thuringia and I have a list of places already, that I can’t wait to visit. I will definitely add Greiz. I love the wonderful mystical nature of your Thuringia. I would come over today, if I could!
@@LaureninGermany Thank you Lauren, I'll write you an email, is that okay? I am very well known in Greiz and the surrounding area. I'm a dj. see you soon.
@@djmike2115 that’s very kind of you, but I only answer publicly, I‘m sure you understand. I‘m happy to communicate in the comments!
@@LaureninGermany oki toki, All you have to do is read and not answer.
You pronounce German words really well. Mach doch mal ein Video auf deutsch?
Danke!
*Nochmal Guten Rutsch*
Das ist ja eine fantastische Idee! Wie schön ich es mir schon vorstelle! Danke vielmals!
