I propose a recommendation. An initiation ritual for first time espresso machine owners. Not fully submerge the steam wand into the milk/oatmilk/other alternative and make a nice fun mess!

This game is bloody fantastic. I love how the character's face changes according to their sanity level. Will be playing this to the endgame, for sure. The temperature and sanity mechanics set this one apart from most other roguelikes I've played. Losing sanity only locks out special abilities until it's regained, but being cold is much worse, in that it drains health at a nasty pace. Stamina is also pretty important, because some weapons need it and it's also needed to run, which is sometimes key to avoiding a game over.
Dude! YES on the character portrait changes based on sanity level--I love the small details like this and honestly, it makes me nostalgic for playing Doom and Wolfenstein on the Pentium back in the day. Oh my...

I think in the last two days, I've probably played around 8 hours of Witchfire. I absolutely adore that game...
Here's the thing... Gnosis 5 is kicking my butt in and I'm in the process of building up my Luck stat because we still need to visit the castle area and give that Galley Slave a run for his money.
We'll be back in time. And I think we'll be seeing a third area pretty soon also. Very exciting!

My mom came down with Covid the day before Mother's Day. My Dad's getting sick today despite trying to isolate. I live with them and I feel fine so far, so hopefully I can avoid the bug! I lost one of my best friends to Covid a couple of years back, so it's kind of a big thing at the back of my mind. My mom's not deathly sick, so I don't think this variant that serious anymore, but any good vibes you can send would be appreciated! Thanks!

@@MattyKO Update, I'm starting to get sick, my throat is scratchy and I have that "feeling". I'm using my asthma inhalers already (I normally only use as needed), I'm mainly worried about breathing issues. I do have a nebulizer if it goes that far.

I'm loving it.
I really like concept of this game it only lacks one thing and that's multiplayer and i know you guys will all be like "we have enough of those" but I don't getvto play a lot of games and when i do i mostly play them with friends in our free time.
I completely understand where you're coming from. We only have limited time and when it comes available, you want to game your way with your friends--makes total sense to me. Maybe take a look at Gatekeeper--could be fun with your buddies.
Flamethrower using sanity + recovering sanity on kill makes it a nice infinite combo if you can crank up the restoration high enough... On another topic, I am a bit bummed that losing sanity seemingly has no sideeffects or makes you lose the run, maybe on higher difficulty? What would also make it more of a consideration if at 0 sanity you start to fire in random directions or use up inventory items at random time intervals. That way you are at least incentivised to recover some of it, or just literally enjoy the madness...
