    Dr. Schmidt, being a new face there at the DoD, explains the new directions and challenges so that a civilian like me can get the picture. I've worked in software engineering for years and glad to see him address the new levels of software system complexity and focus on continuous testing. Hearing his assessment, I continue to have confidence in DoD decisionmaking in weapons testing.
