Kenwood TS990 Transverter Operation

This video shows the setup and operation of a transverter using the Kenwood TS 990 as an Exciter. Kenwood has configured the hardware to allow the use of both split and common connection transverters. Down Eastt Microwave transverters are used as examples.

Hey Thanks JD now I know when I put my set-up on multiple bands I can use one radio and one divider to use multiple transverters. Just bought a 910H from K5YG and I am thinking of making my next radio a Flex 1500 or an Elecraft K2 (10 watt SSB and TXverter) to do 222 and 902. Thanks and 73 from Anthony W6CSA EM50mj

Excellent video. Thanks. I am in the market for a top transceiver, Right now trying to decide between TS-990 and FTDX-9000D. I like the identical receivers in the FTDX-9000D. I like many features of the TS-889 as well. Do you know if the TS-990 is cable of diversity reception with it 2 receivers even though they are not exactly the same? 73 de WA3RSL

i need 432 mhz if in and 144 mhz out ..or ill settle for 432 if in and 28 mhz out thease are both down convert transverters not up????? is there any one out there can out me on to one ps plz do not mistake thease for the russian frequ UPCONVERT transverters are they are not listed properly
