@@NWOtion This is a small show, the goal is to entertain as many of these people as possible so they buy the wrestlers merch and follow their CZcams stuff. Its not about trying to make it look real and keeping everything crisp, building slowly until the end like WWE has indoctrinated you into believing is the ONLY way to put on a good match- that would be boring as shit in this environment..... and judging by the loss of fans over the last 20 years, its boring at WWE events too.

People enjoy the circus, people enjoy some of these men pretending to fight but being so bad athletically that they have to resort to goofy dancing because they cant make it look real. The implication that this was a good match cannot be serious. This was a botchfest. Its not even athletic. Just watch two guys dancing if you dont care about the wrestling part. Maybe thats it. Maybe fringe fans want to watch men dancing and when they learned men now dance in a ring, they had to check it out. Im not even judging but dont pretend anything youre saying is objective. If there is any indoctrination, its the indoctrination that ruining a medium is somehow okay in the name of “progress”. Attitude era drew like 8 million viewers. This draws like 75 people. Its much easier to indoctrinate 75 people than 8 million, bro
Some good spots in this match. The German suplex (the most evil of the supleces) into the bridge and the one over the rope were the standouts for me. Corbin's reversal at the "botched" sound cue was also good.
Save the tooth-kick for a finisher, though. That's gold, Jerry!

I'm generally considered on old wrestling prude who goes on about how shitty wrestling is today but I genuinely enjoyed this. It told a story, they both sold, the crowd was into it. I can't say it was the most amazing technical match I've seen but it didn't need to be. If only the major feds could pull this off on at least a semi regular basis.

Because of his size and wrestling ability, I would much rather see Danhausen as a manager or commentator in AEW who is used to get heat on the heels - as a wrestler, I’m not impressed by him at all but he does have a great gimmick that has got him super over already before he even made his first TV appearance - no doubt TK has signed him for his entertainment value and ability to sell merch for himself and others - he’s going to be a HUGE star, but not for his in ring work I feel…
Doubt he will be in the main event soon. I would like to see him in a comedic wrestler role like r truth.

Like, I doubt he’ll ever be an AEW world champion, but that’s not because of his work. It’s because his gimmick doesn’t need the world title and it wouldn’t feel right having his character win it.
@@zacharyhoover2668 I see a lot of people complain about his wrestling, but I agree with you his wrestling is solid and I feel it's very traditional. I feel that a lot of people don't like it because he's not doing a bunch of super kicks and DDTs all the time, nor does he do any highflying moves. I see loads of wrestlers doing that stuff now a days and not a lot doing the less flashy stuff. I think he does a great job at making his matches entertaining with his slim yet solid repertoire of moves.
I agree with that. He has decent ring work, but without the gimmick he'd basically be a jobber or remain in the indie scene. With his promotion skills and popularity, I can easily see him being the next big notable manager in the same vein as Jimmy Hart, Paul Bearer, Bobby Heenan, Jim Cornette, etc.

Also, just watched the 2 Germans he pulled out in this match again. Where is he “dumping them” incorrectly? Were you referring to a different match, because the ones in here are a regular upper back bump and a full rotation bump with Darin’s forearms carrying him over.
@@zacharyhoover2668 Taking the suplex is a skill. If the performer is taking it on the shoulder, it usually means that the one getting the suplex is not confident or trusts the person doing the suplex, so it's natural to turn the body, which makes the whole thing look awkward.

Well, IMO, nobody does it as good as the originator KENTA. As for "Why does everyone copy the GTS?"..... because they can. Just like any other wrestling move. I imagine that coming up with a new unique move, that can be done without actually hurting or possibly even killing someone if not done perfectly, is not something that just anyone can do...... Done correctly or incorrectly, I still am surprised that more people don't come away with more broken noses than they do after receiving the GTS.
Sammy does go to hell and reverse go to sleep and it looks better then cm punk gts it like feast ur eyes from Dominick from roh before leaving for wwe.... and orange and danhausen comedy gimmicks I think are trash it's a matter of time before the ppl move on to the next popular thing
