@@porkchopexpress6890 you do realise butcher is riddled with injuries to the point he struggles to stay ring fit and is at a age where realistically he’s only got a year or two before retirement? Meanwhile the blade like Butcher is likely only a few years off retirement and like butcher has a few private situations preventing him from being used consistently.
Why would AEW push two blokes past their prime, with little to give and can’t be used every week? I love them as an act and wish they would get pushed, but honestly it’s no surprise they’re not at the top of the card. Being a lower midcard team is where they’re at and Tbf it’s probably around where they should be. An act that gets the occasional win over rookies and undercard teams, but is mostly there to make others look good
At best we can hope the current weakening of the tag division thanks to all the tags becoming trios means they might get a title match or two

@gridview3466 Agreed. Same with Butcher & Blade. There's many tag teams that could have held the belts at one point or another, but got nowhere near the title picture. Though, I guess that's what happens when The Elite hold on to the titles for almost 2 years out of the roughly 3.5 years that the titles have been around.
Kinda feel like they screwed up the trios division already, too. When the titles were first being discussed and then announced, there were SO many trios teams! Then The Elite wanted to be the first champions, but Kenny was injured, so the tournament got pushed back, and pushed back, etc, etc.
By the time the tournament finally happened a number of the teams people were excited about were no longer together. Then throw in the impromptu Death Triangle reign and the 7 matches they eventually had, now there's hardly any real trios teams left. The House of Black SHOULD win this weekend, but it won't surprise me if The Elite hold on to the titles for a long, long, time.
Being a Dark Order fan, is even worse. Everyone thinks they are Dorks.

@@porkchopexpress6890 the f you talking about? Both were live not taped. One show happened in Phoenix the other in San Francisco. I don’t think AEW paid for an entire crowds flights across state lines or organised a bus tour to travel the 12 or so hours.
Would’ve liked to see the Butcher and the Blade finally get a title run. But sadly they never get the push they deserve.

John Silver & Reynolds probably could be a plausible AEW tag team champions. However, Dark Order is booked as NPCs within their own storyline, with Dark Order taking a back seat to Adam Page.

Then Kip show up as it distract Trent and make Orange the win.
After the match Trent leave without waiting Orange.
Then Orange vs Kip for the titles and Kip have a great chance of winning but Trent and Chuck make the save when...(I forget who come out maybe The Butcher n Blade come out and tries to infrence).
And Orange pick up the win.
Just as mention that AEW might plan to break Trent and Chuck away from Orange but didnt happen and so does Kip insultung Orange for more storylines

TBH I think they've still been looking pretty strong, even though they've been losing. Some great in ring storytelling.
Aussie Open are amazing but sadly dont see them being tag champs or getting many wins as long as theyre signed with NJPW.

Much as I like Orangehausen, I was really hoping The Kingdom were going to win (based on the outlines in the promo picture). My biggest question is, why were most of the teams the same ones that wrestled at last week's battle royal? Seems a bit redundant.

And for anyone confused by my statement, please let me explain: JL & JJ are a throw-together team, mostly so that JJ can work directly with Singh & move them forward into what will eventually be a viable heel team in JL & SS. The Acclaimed are ridiculously over and don't need the belts, even if people think they deserve them. That leaves OC & Danhausen, the latter I'm betting gets pinned as the guy who can most afford to get pinned. AEW needs more viable heel teams, and they're trying to push the Gunns hard. So again, predicting a Gunn Club win to help them build momentum. We'll see.

@@leonshoyinka4540 - Honestly? None of their belts mean anything. The AEW roster is way too big and as such, they don't use their champions properly in order to get everyone on the card. Title holders should be the face of the company, not just another face in a montage. Yet, AEW creates two new titles, the AA and the Trios. Go figure.

Really struggling with AEW at the minute, they once had FTR and The Acclaimed super over, yet this is the next PPV match. Disappointed!
The Acclaimed already have a spot at the PPV, so they didn't need to compete.
FTR is a completely different story. Their contracts are coming up soon, and they are at home, because they asked for a break to heal. I totally understand time to heal, but it's kinda $hitty to let the guys ride out the last few months of their contract doing nothing. We'll see.

These Battle Royales are an AEW staple of awesomeness. It is not lost on me that all the people who got tossed out, still look like winners because of how they performed in the ring in general. B and B still look formidable. Aussie Open looked great. Even Claudio and Wheeler looked badass as they got eliminated.

Also, The Gunns are not that good in the ring Tony had to add two more teams to make the match great. Jarrett is really hated by the fans. while OC and Danhausen have a big fanbase.
