I honestly can't recommend the service Bill Higham provided highly enough. When spending any amount of money it's always a good idea to find out what your options are when it comes to an outboard motor - this company answered any questions I had and went through all the different options for my needs.

😄 yes buddy its full steam ahead, my boat is still in China in a shipping container waiting for the train to collect it on the 12th. Who knows how long it's going to take to get here, hopefully not too long! Cheers for the comment blue. Ahoy 😀

You still like it? I need to get a new motor for my 14ft jon boat. I had a 10hp evinrude but it took a crap on me last weekend.
Yeah great engine and always starts within 2 pulls. All I've done is the service after the first 10 hours and it's still like new. I wish I had gone for the 10hp but lifting it down the ramp or from a carpark would be difficult on my own. Me wishing I'd gone for the 10hp is because I'd like a little more speed. The 6hp sits at around 14/15mph on the River on my kaboat
Hello, I'm between Suzuki 6HP and this Tohatsu 6HP, is there any reason why you didn't go with Suzuki? What do you recommend?
Hello. I can't say which would be best between the Tohatsu vs Suzuki as this is my first ever outboard. I chose the Tohatsu after doing research and seeing they had a good reputation etc and the company i was purchased it from had 5* reviews. I didn't look into Suzuki unfortunately so I couldn't really help. The outboard I've got has been fantastic and it's only been used in sea water, I just make sure I flush it after every trip. If you go for a Tohatsu and are in the UK give Bill Higham a call and let them know you've seen this video. They might be able to work something out for you 😀 good luck and let me know on which you decide to get

Well spotted. Now changed, thank you. Bill Higham have been excellent. I've even spoke with them since the purchase and they are always willing to help with any quires I've had.
Do you run it dry before storing it?
I haven't been but I'm going to before I put it away for winter. Going to try get out using one more time before winter kicks in
those stupid tiny styrofoam balls went everywhere and were in every crevice of my tohatsu when I opened it
😄 I had the same issue, they stuck to all the greased up parts of the motor. Happy boating 🚢
