@@XD-je1vj Glad to hear that!
I love how complete this tutorial is. Integrating an Illustrator tutorial greatly increases its quality. Congratulations and keep it up!!!!
Glad to hear that - wasn’t sure if it would be too long.
The waiting went with a new tutorial. Great tutorial

This is exactly what I needed. Very clear, explained every step so its very easy to follow, and including the illustrator tutorial how to build the shapes is super! Thank you for making this, subscribed immediately. I don't normally comment but want you to know this is a really good video

Perfect
when i put wave warp effect, my background also being the same. i've lock or replace the background but it didn't work
Great tutorial! Thanks! How might I di this same look but with strokes on the shapes?
Love it.... thanks Oliver... first comment
You’re early!
Oliver Randorff I always
♥♥♥
Use shape builder instead of pathfinder and all of a sudden you will have a better quality of life
I'll look into it, thanks
Very helpful! Using the CC Slant effect was especially clever.
In Ai, I used to use cmd+d to repeat shapes and lines also, but after watching Jake Bartlett in this SoM tutorial (czcams.com/video/yonjgvzV3nQ/video.html) I've switched to the warp tool.
Thank you! Have never heard of this, so I may have to check it out 🙌
Hello! What do I do if I can't create an outline from a vector layer bc it's "empty or unsupported?" It only does this to my text layer sjshsj and it's still an AI file idk why it doesn't work
If I was you, I would recreate the text layer in After Effects using the text tool
@@OliverRandorff yeah i didnt think of that at first but i alr did lololol anw thank u sm!!
I don't have Illustrator xD
You can also create it manually in After Effects with the pen tool, haha
@@OliverRandorff so what's the point of Illustrator then xD???
Darth Grape it’s 100 times easier to create in illustrator because of the pathfinder tool. Getting the shapes perfect like that in After Effects is quite hard
