Hey everyone, today I am showing you how I built a bench seat/banquette in the kitchen of our last home. It really made a huge impact on the home and it was a deciding factor for the buyer that purchased the home from us.

Hello and thanks for watching my new Bench Seat video. This bench seat was a huge factor in the sale of my home recently and the homebuyer absolutely loved it. Let me know your thoughts in the comment section on bench seats in the kitchen. -Joey

Love your project. I don't know if removing booths from our local restaurant had anything to do with them going out of business after being in business for years, ( and every owner thereafter closing the place,) but when the booths were removed, I never went back, it just didn't have that 'feeling' anymore. (dating myself)

We are all about the booths at restaurants for sure. Thanks so much for watching.

I love what you did with that space. I would eating every meal at home with a booth like that in my house. Great job.

I really wish I had room in my kitchen for something like this. This is amazing.

What a great job on this. I wouldn't be able to make my own cushions either so I think your choices were perfect. I loved this.

I have in fact always wanted to have one of those. When I go to my Barnes and nobles I always check to see if there's any "prime real estate" open in the back booths. To think I might be able to build that and have that in my own home that excites me! Thanks!

It really was a simple project other than the seat cushion part. Thanks so much for watching.

When we build the new house, gameplan is for a window seat rather than a bench and allow the grandkids to sit there. Ample size room to center table for more formal dining.
Am quite motion-sensitive to when eating out, I take one at end or against a wall if at all possible when my partner suggests a booth. Big men or small kids moving around can do me in.

The window seat is a really nice option also. Thanks so much for watching, Kate.

Oh man, that was 15 years ago. It was on broadway but I doubt it's still there. If I can find it again, ill post the info here.

I don't understand the mitering comments and why you can't open one side at a time.
