  • Here I install a power steering pump on a 2006 Honda Ridgeline. This process is similar on Honda Accord, Acura TL, Honda Pilot, Honda Odyssey, Acura RDX...Pretty much most Honda V6 engines.

    I think this was a well done video. I don't need to swap my pump but I'll know what to look for. tHanks for the video...I'll check in to your channel again!

    Great work pal, I got a 2008 Accord I’m working on at the moment. Is the same exact process, but I also have a 2006 Ridgeline that needs the PS Pump replaced. This will help me out a bunch, I went on and bought the tool to remove the serpentine belt at Harbor freight for $20. It makes it very easy to change / remove the belt.

    I did what you did on my last power steering pump and it cost me the bearings, what you should have done is jacked up the front end been with the car off turn the wheels lock to lock, to move the fluid through the system so that the power steering pump never was dry. Tomorrow I'm going to do my second power steering pump on this truck because I didn't do that last time

    Good job. I replaced the pump on my Ridgeline 06 because the power steering was foaming. And that did not fixed it. Now I'm thinking I should had replaced the reservoir.

    What are the signs of pump needing replaced?

    • @hondaresource
      @hondaresource  Před 3 lety

      Usually they will whine while full of fluid or leak from seals other than the hoses. The v6 pumps are notorious for issues across the Honda platform.
