    Cheers from the dry skin girl! For the $50 budget, I think that I will choose the COSRX low pH good morning gel cleanser, The Ordinary amino acids+B5 serum, iUnik black snail restore cream, and Garnier ambre solaire sensitive expert SPF50+. Purchasing these items from local shops in NL, then it might be €41 in total.

    What a fantastic idea! There are a lot of us right now who are struggling to maintain our skin and yet also have to watch what we spend. It's really amazing that there are plenty of options out there that will keep your skin healthy and happy while also not breaking the bank! I would be curious though, to see you use this routine for a week and see how it does. Would it be worth it to spend a little more on an additional product to compensate? Or are you able to sustain your healthy and happy skin with the products you chose? As always thank you so much for being so joyful and fun. I am always happier after spending time with your videos!

    Matcha Hemp Cleanser $16
    Haru Haru Toner $22
    Purito Centella Green Level Moisturizer $17
    That's $55 and is legit my PM routine
    My daytime is more expensive...
    Glow Recipe Watermelon Toner $34
    Purito Moisturizer (sometimes green centella and sometimes blue deep sea water) $17
    Shiseido Urban Environment SPF $35
    That totals to $86 which is still pretty good I think. The watermelon toner lasts 12 mo. I blow through the Purito though...

  • @sophiak8687
    @sophiak8687 Před 2 lety +1

    I added up my current day and night routines and they each come to the equivalent of $50 (allowing for overlap, even less)! I have oily, redness-prone skin with some blackheads and occasional pimples, especially on my shoulders, as well as lifelong eczema. I’ve seen an incredible improvement and have had the happiest, glowing and clear skin of my life in the past couple of months!
    My core daytime routine is CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, CeraVe PM, Garnier Ambre Solaire Ultra-Light Face Fluid spf 50. For actives I use Inkey List Succinic Acid Blemish Treatment and the mini size of Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Toner. For my lips, nails & dry patches I use Vaseline Original Petrolatum Jelly in a 250ml tub.
    At night I either use the same cleanser and moisturiser, or use CeraVe Foaming Cleanser. I use CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream on my shoulders, chest, neck and any acne. Once a week I’ll use the Inkey List Kaolin Clay Mask or The Ordinary 10% Mandelic Acid.
    My unnecessary luxuries are the Beauty of Joseon Centella sheet mask and Calming Serum. They add a lot of hydration and slightly help my redness, but I can do without them. More a special occasion thing :-)
    The other thing which has made a huge difference for my skin is my haircare! By using a salicylic acid shampoo twice a week and unscented dry shampoo the rest of the time, I avoid excess oil build-up on scalp which would previously spread to my forehead. I avoid all scented soaps, laundry detergents and deodorants. The only scent I use is when I choose to wear a perfume.

    I was really surprised when Ro didn’t select the Krave beauty face wash! I went into this video thinking for sure there would be something from krave in the lineup! Same with the ordinary and inkey list (until the end) but still so fun to watch! I think realistically I’d have a routine ~$100 (unless I got a jumbo sized product)

    Love the concept. Right now I'm on a budget rutine of Cerave dry skin cleanser + day moisturiser Natura Siberica with antioxidants + rotating between BHA CosRX, Mizon Collagen, 8%AHA Paula's Choice + Cerave dry skin moisturiser. I love the ceramides Holika Holika line for dry skin as well, live the cream and serum. Also a good budget option. Spf i use one from a drugstore brand for sentitive skin.

    I like to put most of my $$ in the actives and sunscreens. I us Vanicream cleanser and La Roche Posay Double Repair Cream or Cerave Skin Renewing Night cream for my dry skin. All works and feels amazing and doesn’t break the bank leaving more room for more expensive products!!

  • @jessicurry2010
    @jessicurry2010 Před 2 lety

    Also: I find myself in between you both with problems from both sides, I suppose I'm oily/combo or dry/combo on birth control, so I have large pores, but I'm constantly dehydrated, especially under the eye. I get the oily butterfly and chin and this spot right in the middle of my forehead!
    So I dig Fel's cleansing balms for removing makeup, frequently only wash with water in the mornings like Ro, have large pores with dry under eye and beside my nose, live for both BHA and vitamin C, dry out as soon as I leave the shower and look for Fel's Winter/Ro's Summer moisturizers!

  • @katherinemorelle7115
    @katherinemorelle7115 Před 2 lety +1

    Makes me think about what my routine would cost all up.
    So cleansers- I use the Sukin signature cream cleanser morning and night, it’s about $8, though I’ll likely switch to the $10 Sukin brightening cleanser next time. Still very cheap.
    I’m currently using an oil cleanser in the evenings only as part of a double cleanse. It’s the Ella Bachè Botamical Cleansing Oil, and it retails for $70. Except I’m only using it because I got it for free. I’ll be sad when it runs out, because I absolutely cannot afford to buy a replacement. So I’m counting this as $0, because that’s why I paid for it. I’ll likely try the Ordinary’s cleansing oil when I do run out, and that’s about $10.
    Morning- Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA toner, because it’s great to lower the pH of the skin but is still very gentle, and works well before my Vit C. It’s $15.
    Then my CC Vitamin C serum from Rohto Mentholatum cost me about $12
    I might also use my Hada Labo premium brightening lotion, which is $12, or I’ll use the Ordinary’s Alpha Arbutin, which is about the same price (though the Hada Labo is much better value, with the AA being only 30ml, and the Hada Labo being 170ml. Massive difference!)
    Then I go in with my It’s Real Pomegranate mist, which is $6. Then my HaruHaru Wonder antioxidant cream (that I honestly bought mostly because the jar is adorable- it’s a coffee cup!) and that was $15 or so (it was discounted I believe). Then it’s the Ordinary’s NMF moisturiser which is $10, then my Biorè sunscreen which was $8.
    Nighttime I do the double cleanse as mentioned above, then my retinoid, which is The Ordinary’s Granactive Retinoid (though I’ll be levelling up to the 0.5% in squalane soon). They’re both about $10.
    Then my Hada Labo, then some pomegranate mist, then my nighttime moisturiser, which is the VitAustralia Emu Oil, which retails for $3 for a 250g tub! It’s so good.
    So all up, for both morning and night- am is $86 (though it can be simplified, I just happened to get a bunch of decent deals and I like playing with skincare), pm is only $33. But will be $43 when I have to buy another oil cleanser. Which averages out to just over $50 per routine. I’m not counting my Saturday nights, which is even cheaper- double cleanse, Ordinary peel, moisturiser, that’s only $23, but will be $33. So I think I’m not doing too bad overall. I can’t afford to buy expensive stuff anyway. The only thing I use that is over $20 is the one thing I got for free.

    One suggestion maybe next time there's a price range or limit involved instead of making it the just cost of the product-. Break it down into like cost per ounce or cost per use or something like that. Cause I mean (x amount) of one product may have a way different value than (x amount) of a different product. Just a thought and might be beneficial in deciding which product to buy. Love your videos ❤️ 😍 (y'all literally saved my skin ❤️❤️❤️ Peach and Lily 😆)

      I get a two pack of the Biorè sunscreen for $16 on eBay. So it’s half the price of what Ro is paying for hers. And I checked it out to make sure it wasn’t a fake, but it’s legit. It does take a little while longer to ship, because it comes from Japan, but I also get very cheap shipping on it. It’s by far my cheapest option, and it also happens to be my favourite.

    Is ok for a 16 y/o to use alpha arbutin? I have a lot of acne scars on my cheek and forehead area and I started slowly incorporating the alpha arbutin from the Ordinary into my skin care routine. Please let know If it's bad or not. Thanks :)

      Hii! Alpha arbutin should be okay to use for lightening up discoloration and acne marks! As long as your skin isn't reacting negatively to the ingredient, you can continue to use it! Hope this help! :)
