That's how it used to be with analog film and music tape in the 20th century. It's expensive and requires gentle care, you'd want to save as much as possible.

You know how many artists will take warming up, no voice correction seriously if the only had one take? And how many artists we will hear goof in a song, probably cursing out their engineer and producer for making the song too high for them? 😂🤣
