CLIP DESCRIPTION:
During Dead Meat's (William O'Leary) emergency rescue, Wash Out (Jon Cryer) gets dragged alongside the ambulance.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
From director Jim Abrahams, one of the minds behind the Airplane! and Naked Gun films, comes another parody. This time around, Abrahams has his sights set on the action-adventure genre, specifically Top Gun. Charlie Sheen stars as Topper Harley, a maverick air force pilot who constantly lives in the shadow of his father's legacy. Unable to handle the pressure, Harley has left the Air Force to live among a tribe of Native Americans. But when the United States seeks to destroy some Iraqi nuclear facilities, there's only one man for the job. After being coaxed back into service, Harley soon realizes that in addition to Saddam Hussein, he'll have to contend with a rival pilot, played by Cary Elwes, and a devious aerospace executive. Among the many films lampooned are Dances With Wolves, 9 1/2 Weeks, The Fabulous Baker Boys, and Gone With the Wind.

The joke that Dead Meat survived the crash perfectly fine and it was the healthcare system that killed him is more prophetic than ever.

Whenever I see someone flying across the screen thats what I say.
I find it fascinating studying humour. I’ve not seen this before and I’m not really laughing, though I appreciate it. But that line is to me, completely not funny. I was deconstructing it in my head and just at no point can I find something in it. Not saying this is be mean, just saying it because it’s strange how vastly different our senses of humour can be.

Pretty much the ambulance AI in the GTA 3 series (3,VC and SA). They end up killing more people trying to get to the scene of the accident.
Haha I know right? Like one time I killed some pedestrian in GTASA and an ambulance came to 'resuscitate' the guy but couldn't so the driver got back in the ambulance and tried to drive away but leaving the other paramedic guy behind but the driver ran him over instead. The ambulance driver got out to resuscitate the other ambulance officer that he ran over while I decided to just steal the ambulance anyway.

Because they're afraid that some people might be offended, and if you don't include the right demographics, you won't get any funding. And if the wrong demographics are the slapstick victims, then all bets are off and your life is ruined.
Such is the result of sensitivity and inclusion.
It was a different time. Nowadays, it's pretty much action movies that get all the attention. Something like this would get cast aside, today.

This scene and the whole " having a serious conversation in the office while someone gets electrocuted in the hall way" were the best bits of this movie, and the opening scene gets an honourable mention too.
I love the jump Charlie sheen did with his bike it's so inappropriate considering his friend just crashed. LOL

Jon Cryer was a comedian in the 80s, him and Matthew Broderick, ended up competing for most roles, as they were both, nearly identical back then, Jon Cryer did a movie, very similar to Ferrris Buellers day off, one year after.

Damned if that guy doesn't drive an ambulance like my old EMS partner did, I swear he was trying to kill me and the patient everytime I rode the call
I work with patient transports (basically with an ambulance but never emergency) and sometimes I wonder... I can see the speed bumps through the tiny window and yet the person driving drives way to fast over it. We have fragile load, and we are never in a hurry!
