Z, similar to the original game, you CANNOT get richer Dirt by RELOCATING it from deeper underground. You can dig DEEPER Dirt straight into a Pan, pour it into a Bucket (Shoveling into a Bucket may be broken until they get it patched), and then pour the Bucket into the Harvester for Richer Dirt, but the Miner must be LOCATED at the deeper location to Mine richer dirt. That's been true from the beginning and has never changed, even with the DLC...
Also, Conveyor ARE available in another Shop in one of the small towns, but, as you noted, they are WATER POWERED. So, to get them working, you'll need the Ice Melter to make water to power the Conveyors. I do not (yet) know if the WATER Supply will also need filters (I suspect it does), so you'll need 10 Lava/Water Filters (5 for each line) plus the Automated Repair Circuity (1 x Detector, 3 x Elbow Cable, 2 x Straight Cable, 1 x Flip Switch, 1 x Wrench Thrower, 4 x Repair Toolkit PER FILTER) to fully automate everything and keep spare Repair Toolkit's to keep the Wrench Throwers stocked. It's a mess of gear that costs a lot in the beginning when funds are tight, and then it all needs to get transported from the shop to the Claim Site. This will need to be done EACH time, although I suspect funds will be much easier to get by the time you go for a new Claim.
Also, similar to the original base game, the initial Claim is Tier 1 ONLY. All other Claims, which cost 5k HC each to purchase, go down to Tier 3... You'll also need to get the various Shops in New Dawn operational for a more complete Tier 1 Shop, and to get Tier 2 and Tier 3 Shops built...

Yay! Love that you are starting from the beginning (helpful for us noobs). I haven't played in forever, so I have forgotten so much. I just picked up the DLC today
Early game tip, you don't need the harvester early on. If you route a lava pipe to drop lava over where the drill chucks out ice, when you put a pan down, the lava will fill the pan and the ice will instantly change to resources as it's chucked out. This only works at the surface.

Drills in this game haven't removed dirt in years.
the T1 shop has the pick axe
I love your videos!
You can dig dirt to the surface but the gains only come from depth the drill is at when digging (unless its changed in the dlc)
There are conveyor belts they’re just in a different town
You can dig down destructivly using lava. It melts the snow but you don't get any resources like using the pick axe.
Pick axe doesn't give resources either, it just removes land.

i know its rude to ask!!!! what happend to lightyear frontier??
How did you got the ship to appear. I have tried everything and still nothing. I have asked the Dev but they said to uninstall and reinstall the dlc. Still no luck. Removed the whole game and reinstalled, still no ship.

@Gr33n After I did all that, I just kept removing and reinstall the dlc. After 14 tries, the ship finally showed up.
just wish the game was true multiplayer.
