  • My old USB endoscope was giving up the ghost so it is time to replace it. With a suggestion from a loyal viewer I looked on the Amazon and bought this little guy. Time will tell if it holds up but so far it seems pretty good for the price. -Enjoy!

      I just ordered one through this link, my daughter replaced her spark plugs and didn't torque them down tight enough and the loosened up, vibrated and snapped the welded electrode off the bottom into the cylinder. I tried everything from magnets to filling the cylinder with trans fluid and cranking the motor over with the plug out. If this camera works getting that thing out without pulling the head it will have made my month. I'll update this adventure. Thank you.

      Is the only difference with the DS300 model the orientation of the unit (horizontal vs vertical)? If so, guess you can save $10 but given how rigid the cable is not really sure which orientation is more practical.

      Speaking personally, I tend to PREFER people that "don't have a filter".
      It's far easier for me to deal with people if I'm aware of what they ACTUALLY think and feel about any given subject!
      From my experience, the most difficult ones to 'read' tend to be females (I know... That's SEXIST... SUE me!)
      The 'brighter' ones quickly learn that their typical responses don't work with me... i.e. If I ask them something and they respond with something asinine like '_fine_', then I react as if they actually MEAN fine...

    That is getting good quality images. Camera's have improved a lot (shame the software is a bit "dashcam").
    I used to get blighted by dyshidrotic eczema on my hands at times. Lots of tiny water blisters that ended up getting infected and making my hands look a bit gnarly.

    • @sharg0
      @sharg0 Před 2 lety

      Did the eczema go away by itself or was there anything you did to get rid of it?
      I've had problems with my hands since I was a child and I also have Arthritis.

    • @mannys9130
      @mannys9130 Před 2 lety +2

      @@sharg0 I have pretty typical/standard eczema on my hands and face. For example, if I wash a big load of dishes without the dish gloves, my hands get very dry and cracked and red. The dish soap strips all the sebum off and irritates my epidermis and that causes the eczema flare. They look awful after that and physically throb in the red areas over my knuckles and wrists because of the inflammation. :( What helps me at that stage is plain 1% hydrocortisone "anti-itch" cream. Since the eczema is an inflammatory condition, the topical steroid helps calm and reverse it. My best strategy is prevention. I wash my face and beard with a purpose-made face wash instead of just the bar of body soap like I used to. I use a lotion to keep the skin protected and hydrated. I also exfoliate my face specifically with a gentle exfoliating glove which seems to help. Dead skin buildup contributes to irritation for me. I put hydrocortisone on my hands or face for a few days consecutively if it flares up. After 3-4 days, they are back to normal. I put the steroid cream on twice a day and I use a good lotion a few times throughout the day especially after hand washing. You need to try and avoid using hydrocortisone cream for more than 5 days in a row though. It thins out the skin and makes you more vulnerable to sunburn. :( Also try to limit the amount of surface area of your body that you put it on. It's dilute and OTC, but it's still a strong steroid and is not harmless. If you slather half of your body with it every day for weeks and weeks, you may end up with iatrogenic Cushing's disease and then adrenal insufficiency if you suddenly stop using it. That goes doubly if you also happen to be using a local steroid for nasal allergies and/or lung diseases like asthma or COPD. The local steroid that are considered "safe" can be systemically active sometimes. Not good. Small areas, for short times, and you'll be ok. Prevention is the key though. You can also get prescription eczema lotion that isn't a steroid. Elidel is one I used as a kid when I had much larger areas of eczema rashes. But...if you have bad or no insurance, some O'Keef's Working Hands or Bag Balm or other intensive repair hand lotion product will be good for prevention and plain old 1% hydrocortisone cream for flare up treatment will work for many people too.

      I have never said a word about a person hands. As a retired vehicle/aviation mechanic my hands do appear hideous crooked fingers, fingers that do not pull straight having arthritis and a thumb that only bends 10% on the right hand due to having my right hand and thumb being broken. Of course that does not even mention the heavy scarring and skin that has numerous lacerations and burns over the years. Some folks just do not realize that a working person will have injuries over the years and I rather see what technically what is presented then to be staring at someones hands.

    Brought one of these recently, so far I'm impressed with it...
    On a side note I sold my previous single camera scope to a guy on ebay... He gave me neutral feedback after a couple of days had passed.. He said it broke after two uses but admits it was his fault for stuffing it inside an engine....

    Amazing how modern engines have so few combustion chamber deposits.
    Great mixture control, great fuel, great lubes, etc.

    Hi, Mr. O. That camera is great. I can imagine lots of times where you are looking for a broken wire behind something. You could even look into the gas tank to see how many rubber ducks are floating around playing whatever ducks play. You got yourself a cool new toy. Take care of it! If you break it, I am telling Mrs. O! Thanks for sharing! Stay Healthy!

    Nifty new toy. Time will tell if it holds up. I also have arthritis along with carpel tunnel bad in my right hand. Wake up each day in pain in that hand and have to use left hand to loosen up the right so I can go to work. That endoscope has a great picture.

    Been using these cameras for years on my customers yachts. So much easier to see what's going on behind before tearing apart a 6 million dollar yacht interior. I use the WiFi version that I connect to my phone. No included display, connects to the phone via WiFi. They work great, especially for the price.

    I am not sure I have that, but I work with me hands every day. The grand kids call my hands pokey fingers, I love it. Cuts, scabs, cracking during the winter time, think nails from hammer strikes, all apart of brickwork and working on cars. I'd have it no other way!!

    Nice piece of kit there Eric, the camera lens sure gives clear pictures , this is the kind of modern technology that we un the trade like , your hands are working mans hands , we dont sit behind a desk pressing buttons all day , we do our job , do it right as well as we can and have abused our bodies fixing cars for years , get Mrs O to give them a massage and cream them , it works wonders , take care 👍👍👍

    The clarity of the images is fantastic. And it is cheap! Thanks for the demo Eric, much appreciated. Arthritis sucks Eric. If it wasn't for the medication I am on, which the government funds most of the cost, I would be worse than I was before I started using the meds by now. I was in pain all day and night, no meds would took the pain away fully, they just made it so I was so dopy I didn't care. Because I worked to support my family, I could only take the strong painkillers Friday after work & the last time was on Sunday mornings because I had to be alert to be able to work, drive etc. I was using a walking stick, heading for two walking sticks or a walker. I was in my forties when I was at my worst. I am so thankful I live in a country with good medical subsidies for expensive drugs There was no way I could afford the full price of $1000 a fortnight. I have to be assessed every 6 months to qualify, and it is a hospital only assessment, not a GP. The meds stop the progression only while you take it. It wont fix any damage that has already occurred. And there is 100% no pain!
