      I was speaking with someone from sintra and they are extremely disappointed in Americans over inflating the housing prices making it impossible for a middle class person to buy a house in Portugal. It saddens me that more American immigrants keep making life more and more difficult for people in their own country.

    • @ExpatsEverywhere
      @ExpatsEverywhere  Před 2 lety

      Americans aren't necessarily the ones doing this. Portugal is relatively new to Americans and we're not topping the charts for immigration at all. Check the immigration data on that. The current wave of Americans are coming and renting and not buying at the moment, although, we suspect that will change in the coming years.

    The sad part about this is that most locals cannot afford to go and experience it which would translate to support. Local support and involvement would make it more intriguing. When visiting I have never seen Wow crowded and rarely busy.

    • @ExpatsEverywhere
      @ExpatsEverywhere  Před 2 lety

      WOW's complex is more or less the cultural district. It's their name not ours. 😁 7 museum experience, 12 food and beverage places, shopping, educational spaces, and really you could lump the Yeatman (hotel) into it because it is part of the same company and connected to WOW's property at it's highest point. - Josh & Kalie
