@@mariepayann I don’t think anyone or at least not most people do hard drugs because it’s “quirky”. Seeing as Katya has struggled with drug addiction and relapse herself, what she has to say about it are her own personal feelings, struggles, romanticizations of drugs she still may have struggled with at the time this video came out, and her own humor to cope with the overall personal hell she’s had to go through. I personally believe when she says “it’s not bravery it’s a lack of shame” she referencing to people being at such low points in their life or feeling so low that they feel they couldn’t possibly feel ashamed anymore. Or they’ve felt so desperate for something to take away a certain troublesome feeling that they just can’t feel ashamed about it anymore so they reach for drugs. But thats just my interpretation.
@@mariepayann nothing quirky about it, that's exactly the case for drug addiction. It's not bravery, it's getting to a point where you realize that whatever chemical you're into is more important to you than your shame. And that's sad. And true. And hilarious because of how true and sad it is.

Rules for drugs:
Buy from people you know and can trust and if you know they or someone who You know already took that drug and didn’t have a bad effect.
If it’s a new thing for you take less than you think you need/want and wait at least an hour to see how you feel. Don’t wait thirty minutes and eat more and then freak out.
Do them with someone you trust.
Don’t go out to strange places on drugs, you could end up anywhere.
Remember that whatever you are feeling will pass because if things go sideways it can feel like the feeling will never go away which is terrifying.
Pace yourself. Even if your a pro already at it don’t try to prove anything. Wanting to go nuts with a drug is a sign that somethings up with you spiritually and emotionally and it is best to seek friends to talk stuff out.
Don’t mix crazy stuff together.
Don’t take random pills just because.
If someone you trust and respect speaks to you about your drug use then listen. It’s easy to get caught in a depressive drug induced fog and waste years of your life realizing it. Then the wasted years and self hatred will try to push you to even more drug use.
Watch out for your friends and yourself at all times.
I had a horrible acid trip when I was homeless three years ago with a stranger who suddenly became paranoid and it still is affecting me mentally to this day. Be careful!!! If you have even one doubt --listen to it.
can confirm that second rule, took 5mg of weed, felt basically nothing after 30 min, took 5 more, i could feel every drop of blood circulate and every molecule of air go in and out of my mouth when i breathed

It’s a little hard to watch this after knowing what went on with Katya later on. At the same time, it’s a good lesson to the public on the life of an addict. That temptation is always gonna be there and there will be high points and low points in that persons life. It’s really good to see her doing well again.

It was sad and distressing what happened to Katya during that time, but I don't think we should necessarily discount all her actions from around then as being driven by drugs/mental health problems. She may have been truly having fun with Trixie in this episode, well, as much fun as one can have at work. The Trixie and Katya show was more high stakes than unhhhh, so her distress might actually have been later after this.
The gag is this is video will be more effective preventing teens from doing drugs that anything the government will ever do.

This was my drug progression over about 13 years.
Weed > Shrooms > MDMA > Robitussin > Painkillers > Fentanyl and now I'm on methadone which probably saved my life.
So just be careful with drugs, don't be like me and think "Well I'm not hooked on ecstasy so I guess I can try painkillers!" haha.
PS: Katya did a lower dose of Robitussin/DXM, because it's a drug with different "plateaus". If you just take a bit, you seem kinda drunk. If you take a lot, you disassociate from your body. I'd lay in bed for hours unable to walk, just floating above myself, tripping in the cosmos. Due to this, I suggest not doing DXM in public or a social setting lol. One time I got stuck in the greeting card aisle of a grocery store for hours and had to call my bf to get me. Couldn't remember how to walk. 😂

This is one of my favourite episodes. The worst acid / shrooms trip is when you’re convinced you’re going to stay that way forever. I feel as though Trixie has done way more drugs than she lets on. She pretends to be some big prude but goes on to tell wild stories that haven’t even happened to someone with a lengthy drug past.
Well, to be fair, next to Katya, a recovering drug addict, Trixie hasn't done *that* many drugs.

(And I know for a fact it isn't laced with anything lol) I also seem to have an extremely low tolerance so maybe that contributes to it?

I once took a pill with my friends at the club. Everyone was off their face and I felt absolutely nothing.
